Simple but quite effective method to calculate the cooling effect of trees! The combination of LandsDesign and Ladybug Tools for Grasshopper can help planners and landscape architects to better define vegetation in urban spaces. Moreover, the video shows how to calculate the solar radiation that a tree receives, based on its location, period of time and by considering its surrounding geometries.

In the past, I have tried to include tree geometry in the analysis, but the calculations take a long time due to the high polygon/triangle count. Any suggestions on how to counter this?

Let's be honest, simulating the cooling effect of trees is not that simple!

Grace AlKhawand , this looks like a good way to include realistic trees.
