#alhamdulillah Thrilled to announce the publication of my latest review article, "Exosomal ncRNAs in Liquid Biopsies for Lung Cancer," in Clinica Chimica Acta (Impact Factor: 3.2, CiteScore: 10.1). This review explores the promising role of exosomal non-coding RNAs as diagnostic and therapeutic tools in the fight against lung cancer. With the growing potential of liquid biopsies to revolutionize cancer diagnostics, exosomal ncRNAs offer a minimally invasive approach to better understand disease progression and treatment response. I hope this work adds value to the scientific community and sparks further discussions on the use of liquid biopsies in clinical practice. Special thanks to all my colleagues and collaborators for their support throughout this journey. Looking forward to further advancements in this exciting field! Colorectal cancer is the third most common form of cancer diagnosed in the United States. Buffalo Hospital is the first location in the Allina Health system to use an artificial intelligence-based tool to screen for colorectal cancer. Called GI Genius, it is designed to help with the detection of colorectal polyps, often the precursor to colorectal cancer. This tool helps the provider detect flat polyps faster and in hard-to-view areas. This is another example of Allina Health being a leader in care innovations that leverage technologies, like artificial intelligence. Read more about this at the link in the comments. #HealthInnovation #Colonoscopy #ArtificialIntelligence Medtronic

University of Bath spinout launched to improve lung cancer treatment 🫁🔍 Prothea Technologies, a new spinout company from the University of Bath and The University of Edinburgh, has launched aiming to enable lung cancer biopsy and treatment in a single visit. The firm has attracted £10.3 million of investment as it looks to develop a device which can quickly diagnose lung cancer lesions. This device uses a combined endoscope and image-processing system capable of examining the molecular structure of lung lesions. The team is also looking into a laser-ablation catheter to treat lesions immediately after diagnosis, reducing time-to-treatment from weeks to minutes. Heat shock protein 70 (Hsp70) is frequently overexpressed in many different tumor types. In this paper, the authors aimed to describe Hsp70-based selection system which appears superior to an EpCAM-37 based approach in the isolation of CTCs from patients with metastatic cancer. . 📝 Hsp70—A Universal Biomarker for Predicting Therapeutic Failure in Human Female Cancers and a Target for CTC Isolation in Advanced Cancers — Xanthopoulos, et al. Molecular Barcode Detection: A Game Changer for Pancreaticobiliary Cancer Molecular barcode detection represents a groundbreaking advancement in the early diagnosis and treatment of pancreaticobiliary cancer. By utilizing unique DNA sequences as molecular barcodes, this technology allows for highly sensitive and specific detection of cancer cells, even in their earliest stages. This innovation holds the potential to drastically improve patient outcomes by enabling earlier intervention and personalized treatment plans. As pancreaticobiliary cancers are often diagnosed late due to subtle symptoms, the application of molecular barcoding could revolutionize the way these aggressive cancers are managed, leading to higher survival rates and more effective therapies. #MolecularBarcode #CancerDetection #PancreaticCancer #BiliaryCancer #EarlyDiagnosis #PrecisionMedicine #OncologyInnovation #CancerResearch #MedicalBreakthrough #healthcaretechnology #ResearchInnovation #AcademicResearch #ScientificDiscovery #LabLife #ResearchCommunity #ScienceCommunication #ResearcherLife #DataScience #PhDLife #PostdocLife #ResearchAndDevelopment #ScholarlyWork #InnovationInScience #GrantWriting #ResearchImpact #ScientificResearch #ResearchCollaboration #ResearchExcellence #STEMResearch #researchgoals International Young Scientist Awards Website link: youngscientistawards.com Nomination Link: https://lnkd.in/eHnUr7-f Contact Us: support@youngscientistawards.com Social Media: Twitter : https://lnkd.in/eBYdsWMn Linkedin- : https://lnkd.in/e6FcUxJR... Join us tomorrow at ISPOR 2024 for an insightful poster session presented by Novartis on the "Comparative Analysis of Different Methods of Disease Progression Data Capture in Patients With Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer." This study analyzed data from 3,855 mCRPC patients to evaluate the impact of capturing disease progression data using various methods. Using ConcertAI data, the results showed that linking progression to treatment changes significantly improved model fit and correlation values. The findings suggest that capturing progressions not associated with treatment changes may not offer additional benefits when modeling the relationship between progression and mortality in mCRPC.
