🌾 Farmers are the heart of the food chain. Let’s celebrate them. Today, on Farmer’s Day, OneAgrix honor the tireless dedication, hard work, and resilience of the farmers who nourish the world. From sunup to sundown, they are the backbone of global food systems, ensuring we have the sustenance to thrive. At OneAgrix, we are proud to work alongside #farmers, empowering them with tools, resources, and market access to ensure their produce reaches buyers worldwide. Whether it’s Halal-certified crops, kosher goods, or ethically sourced produce, farmers play a vital role in upholding food security and sustainability. 🌍 World Food Day 2024: Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future 🌱 Today, we join the global community in celebrating World Food Day 2024 and reflecting on the theme: "Right to Food for a Better Life and a Better Future." This theme resonates with our mission at Iremide Meadow Farms and through the Green Home Initiative—to ensure everyone has access to nutritious, affordable, and sustainable food. At Iremide Meadow Farms, we are empowering families to grow their own organic vegetables and fruits using sustainable practices such as vertical and sack farming. Through this initiative, we reduce dependency on expensive food markets, encourage self-reliance, and promote healthier living. By teaching communities to cultivate crops like orange-fleshed sweet potatoes, tomatoes, peppers, and maize, we are fostering food security and ensuring that more people have access to fresh, nutritious food. Our work aligns with the vision of building a future where everyone’s right to food is recognized and fulfilled. On this special day, let us not only celebrate progress but also renew our commitment to sustainable farming practices that nourish people, protect the environment, and secure a better future for all. Together, we can create a world where no one is left behind—one garden at a time. 🌱💧 #WorldFoodDay2024 #RightToFood #SustainableFarming #GreenHomeInitiative #FoodSecurity

At DDEE FARMS, we take pride in our Aggregation services, connecting farmers to markets and streamlining the supply chain. There's no greater joy than seeing farmers thrive, especially when it comes to perishable vegetables! By providing market access, we alleviate one of the biggest stresses farmers face. Production is just the beginning; getting their products to consumers is a significant challenge. We're committed to changing that. Our Aggregation services offer numerous benefits, including: - Reduced post-harvest losses - Increased farmer income - Improved market transparency - Enhanced food safety - Support for smallholder farmers By taking care of market linkage, we enable farmers to focus on what they do best - growing nutritious food for our communities. Let's work together to build a more sustainable food system! #AggregationServices #MarketAccess #FarmersEmpowerment #SustainableAgriculture #FoodSecurity

For those whose livelihoods depend on food production, though, cataclysm is always on the horizon. In this documentary, Ruth Reichl explores with experts how our systems became broken over the postwar decades and, as several participants say, led to most farmers and ranchers barely breaking even while the big companies that process and distribute their products profited. #foodsystems #foodequity #agricultureandfarming | The New York Times

Happy Monday!! What are you grateful for this week? I am grateful for these nourishing vegetables and fruit from my local farmer's market! Why shop at local farmers markets and get local in season produce? Its also not about perfection but about progress... we get to vote with our choices everyday.. right? #bethechange You are supporting a small farmer or a small business that is local- Buying from local farmers' markets or participating in community-supported agriculture (CSA) programs supports the local economy. It helps small-scale farmers and encourages agricultural diversity in the region. #supportyourfarmer Its better for our environment- Eating local, seasonal produce reduces the distance food has to travel, which is called reducing food miles. This reduces the energy required for packaging, refrigeration, and transportation, which contributes to greenhouse gas emissions. #environmentallyfriendly Its FRESH- higher nutrients!! It hasnt travelled for days or weeks and hasnt been sitting on a truck so it hasnt lost nutrients! Its better for us! Foods that sit a while on store shelves and travel distances tend to have a loss in what they offer us so really we are getting less. #nutrientsmatter Its in SEASON! this means the plant grew in similar light conditions as we are seeing as well... we are connected by this too! Plants may have varied nutrients based on what the season is!! #eatinseason Soil Based Microbes- when the produce isnt sprayed and the food is produced without chemicals.. we are able to get the soil based microbes on our food-- and yes growing your own in your garden is goingto get you all of these benefits!! #soilbasedmicrobes #organicfood #shoplocal #seasonalproduce #farmtoplate #foodisinformation #knowyourfarmer #choosearainbow #phytonutrientsandfiber #personalwellnessadvocate #heartfulearthcuisine

🌟 Applause for Northern California Farmers Markets! 🌍🛍️ A groundbreaking study has shown that farmers markets in Northern California are a shining example of safety and sustainability. 🌾🍎 With an incredibly low risk of harmful bacteria like Salmonella and pathogenic E. coli, these markets are not just a feast for the senses—they’re a testament to the hard work and dedication of local farmers and vendors. 💪❤️ 🎉 Here’s why we should celebrate this achievement: 1️⃣ Community Health Matters: The low contamination rates reflect the meticulous practices farmers employ, ensuring that every bite is fresh and safe. Whether it’s vibrant veggies or pasture-raised meats, your local market has your health at heart! 🥗🍗 2️⃣ Sustainability at its Best: Shopping locally reduces food miles and supports eco-friendly farming practices. Every purchase is a vote for a greener, more sustainable future. 🌿🚜 3️⃣ Building Trust: Farmers markets foster a unique connection between producers and consumers. When you meet the people behind your food, you gain not just fresh produce but also peace of mind. 🤝🧺 🌟 However, let’s keep the momentum going by practicing stellar food safety ourselves: 🔹 Separate raw meats and produce when shopping and cooking. 🔹 Use dedicated cutting boards to prevent cross-contamination. 🔹 Keep perishable items cool, especially on warm days. ❄️ 🔹 Always wash your hands and fresh produce! 🙌🧼 By combining the diligence of farmers with conscious consumer practices, we create a circle of trust, safety, and sustainability that benefits everyone. 🌍✨ Let’s continue to champion local markets and celebrate the delicious, nutritious bounty they bring to our tables. 👏💚 💬 What’s your favorite farmers market find? Happy World Population Day! Skretting's purpose is Feeding the Future, and as an essential link in the feed-to-food chain, we must meet the rising food needs of the world in a sustainable manner. In 2023, Skretting contributed to the production of over 26 million portions of seafood meals per day across the globe. However, the world population is set to reach 10 billion, and the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) estimates that to feed this many people, global food production will need to increase by about 60% by 2050! #feedingthefuture #sustainability #aquafeed
