Our next Hackathon is here - two days from now, we are in Berlin! This time our Hack for Food, Hack for Good chapter unfolds in Berlin, where Opendot, our innovation hub partner, collaborates with the Berlin Community Garden Programme of the Senatsverwaltung für Mobilität, Verkehr, Klimaschutz und Umwelt – to develop co-designed tools and innovative tech solutions to support urban gardening communities and promote healthier lifestyles in Berlin. We kicked off today's session by introducing the four major challenges to our multidisciplinary teams: 1️⃣ How can we develop a structured, systematic, engaging, and collaborative onboarding plan for new urban gardeners? 2️⃣ How can we effectively help the community to share skills and create an internal common knowledge? 3️⃣ How can we help urban gardens to best communicate their values and activities? 4️⃣ How can we transform urban gardens into public spaces inclusive for everyone? During the hackathon, the teams will receive constant support from designers and makers at Opendot, FEAST mentors (ICLEI Europe, Heidelberg University, and open science for open societies - os4os), and local experts.
