The Nigeria We Dream of: A Call to the Youth
Once upon a time, Nigeria was the promise of Africa—a land rich in resources, culture, and dreams. Yet today, that promise feels distant, weighed down by the flood of corruption that has seeped into the heart of our political systems. We watch as leaders occupy seats of power, not to serve but to serve themselves, leaving the rest of us to struggle with the aftermath of their greed.
But Nigeria’s story isn’t finished. A new chapter is waiting to be written—a chapter led by us, the youth.
Think about this: we are the most vibrant, educated, and creative generation Nigeria has ever seen. From tech innovators and entrepreneurs to artists and activists, we are showing the world what we’re capable of. But why have we left politics to those who refuse to grow this nation? Why have we allowed those with no vision for the future to hold the pen that writes our destiny?
The time has come for us to take the stage. If we want a better Nigeria, the youth must step into the story. Not as spectators but as authors, leaders, and revolutionaries.
We need a generation of Nigerians willing to enter the political space with hearts set on service, not embezzlement. Leaders who are not just hungry for power but for progress. Imagine what could happen if we brought the same innovation we use in tech to governance. Imagine if we applied the same creativity we use in art to policymaking. Imagine leaders who are righteous, growth-focused, and dedicated to rebuilding this nation.
This is a call to rise. Let us stop complaining from the sidelines. Let us flood the political sector with our ideas, our passion, and our integrity. Together, we can dismantle systems of corruption and build structures of hope.
We must come as true leaders—leaders who understand that power is not for personal gain but for the people. Leaders who believe that Nigeria can be better and are willing to make it so.
It won’t be easy, but revolutions never are. Yet, when the dust settles, we will look back and know we were the generation that dared to dream and act.
Nigeria’s greatness lies in us. Let’s take the step. Let’s rewrite the story.
Are you ready to be part of the change?

6moI totally agree with your speech sir . Nigeria is a poor country and the poor people are mostly not seen by those in position to help because they are mostly in rural areas; that's where they can afford to stay. Hence the need for Inclusive business. This is in line with my everyday strong recommendation for Nigeria to invest more in rural development. Ideally they say your heart will always be where your treasure is, I wonder why that is not obtainable in Nigeria; our treasures are mostly in these neglected rural communities. For example, the recent worsening food insecurity in Nigeria is widely contributed by the security challenges faced by farmers in rural areas; it's not rocket science, if these farmers don't get to farm, we don't get to have enough food. Today, we have a vicious cycle of vulnerability in rural areas because of threats like climate change, conflict, and insecurity, with unmatched intervention from the government and relevant stakeholders.
