Did you know that in sub-Saharan Africa, only 1 in 10 girls will complete secondary education? For millions of girls, the path to education is blocked by poverty, child marriage, unsafe schools, and the crushing cost of school fees. Families are often forced to make difficult decisions: invest in their child’s education or meet immediate needs like food and shelter. The consequences are devastating – not just for the girls who are denied the chance to learn, but for entire communities losing the potential of an empowered and educated generation. This week, you can help change that. Through the Big Give Christmas Challenge, every pound you donate will be doubled. That means your gift goes twice as far in breaking barriers and giving girls the opportunity to stay in school, unlock their potential, and build brighter futures. We need your support to raise £25,000, which will be matched £ for £ to provide life-changing education to thousands of young people. Donate here: Give big, so a child can live big.

The Big Give Christmas Challenge is now live! This week, we’re aiming to raise £25,000, which will unlock funding to support over 700 girls to go to school. Every day, families across rural Africa face impossible barriers to education: poverty, child marriage, unsafe schools, and the crushing cost of school fees. For many, this creates an impossible decision: invest in their child’s education or prioritise their immediate livelihood. This is the fork in the road where a girl’s future teeters between hope and hardship. Imagine a girl standing at this crossroads. With education, she gains the skills to lead a healthier, wealthier life and uplift her entire community. Without it, she risks becoming one of the 34 million girls in sub-Saharan Africa denied the opportunity to transform her life. For just one week, every £ you give to PEAS will be doubled. A donation of just £35 could pay for one year of education for a girl. Will you help her overcome the barriers and change her story? Give big, so a child can live big. Today is International Day of Charity! This day reminds us that small acts of kindness can make a world of difference. In Nigeria, learning poverty is rising, with millions of children lacking access to quality education. For many, basic tools like textbooks, exercise books, and even classrooms are a luxury. Our goal is simple: to ensure that children in slum communities have the resources they need to break free from the cycle of poverty through education. Today, on the International Day of Charity, we invite you to join us in this mission. Your support can provide: - **11 canoes** to help children reach schools. - **Bags, textbooks, and stationery** for over 4,000 children in 11 schools. No amount is too small to spark change. ⚠️ THE PROBLEM: 1.3 million children are not attending school in the Southwest Nigeria (Data source: National Bureau of Statistics, 2022). Major factors responsible for non-enrollment and school dropout are severe hunger, extreme poverty and homelessness. It's difficult to attend school and learn when children are hungry. 💡 OUR SOLUTION: #TWFworks to mobilise resources required to reach and support children growing up in poverty and experiencing severe hunger and homelessness. This year, we are making efforts to raise ₦100 million to provide educational support to 2,000 children, including feeding to keep them in school, and continue to monitor and support them until they complete 12 years of schooling. DONATE TODAY — ₦1,000 | ₦5,000 | ₦10,000 or more! No matter the amount, every naira will go towards providing educational materials to the children, reaching and supporting them to return to school to complete 12 years of education. Please 👉 #DONATE. WAYS TO DONATE 1️⃣ You can donate by bank transfer to any of the three bank accounts on the graphic. 2️⃣ You can donate with your credit/debit card using any of these three links: Paystack (in Naira) ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dV95PDCv Flutterwave (in Naira or USD) ➡️ https://lnkd.in/evFMdq-c PayPal (in USD) ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dweN8bpA #FundEducation #ForEveryChild #SDG4 #EducationForAll #EducationCantWait #SDG4QualityEducation #GPE

What do these children (in the photo) all have in common? Unfortunately, it's lack of access to #education. Growing up in poverty, children face tough challenges: hunger, lack of access to education, gang violence, social discrimination and isolation. But it doesn’t have to be that way. Together, we can transform lives of children in poverty with access to a life-transforming gift of quality education. It starts right here, right now when you sponsor a child at ₦50,000 per year, or donate monthly. Your monthly donation will give your sponsored child access to life-changing benefits like nourishing food, medical care, educational support, life skills and job training before completing 12 years of schooling. At Ashwini Charitable Trust, the children are all first generation learners. Their parents never went beyond middle school. Employment opportunities are increasingly knowledge and skill based. Hence, these parents struggle to get work and keep the kitchen fires burning. We need just one generation to get educated and break that cycle of poverty and want. Once we manage to achieve this, then the future generations will automatically go to schools and colleges, and would be able to follow their dreams. It takes one generation of literates to build that foundation, so that the future generations will never need to depend on an NGO. BRA-VO! Your generous support for hashtag #smallsforall from our request for donations will make a difference. Learn more about how you're helping at www.smallsforall.org. Read all about the impact of your donations and where they are going. "Smalls for All® is a charity that collects new pants and new or gently worn (laundered) bras for people in Africa and the UK who can’t afford or can’t get any. Because dignity matters. Giving pants and bras may seem like a small thing, but it can make a life-changing difference. For example, each month many teenage girls miss school and women miss work because having no pants means they’re forced to stay at home during their period. Boys and men need pants too, with requests coming from, for example, homeless charities and school banks. In Africa, we help those living in orphanages, slums, IDP (internally displaced persons) camps, and schools, as well as those in hospitals suffering from medical conditions like obstetric fistula. In the UK, we help charities and organisations supporting the homeless and people living in poverty or straitened circumstances. Every pair of brand-new pants and every new or gently worn bra you send helps us make a difference to someone’s life. As does every penny you’re able to give or raise for us to help carry out our work" #CharitySupport #DonateForGood #kidsEducation #CommunityImpact #NonprofitOrganisation #SocialGood #EducationForAll #GivingBack #CharityInitiative
