Despite the presence of advanced desalination systems on board freight ships, a paradoxical dilemma persists: crews opt to load pallets of #drinkingwater in #plasticbottles rather than consuming the water derived from desalination. Besides the health risks associated with solely consuming desalinated water, this practice continues to contribute to the escalating plastic pollution in the oceans, for which the freight shipping industry bears a significant responsibility. In light of these challenges, the introduction of atmospheric water generators such as the innovative #HPT300M https://lnkd.in/dKP4svuA by #Huprotec is being considered as a #promising #solution. This technology could not only #reduce reliance on #plasticbottles but also decrease the environmental impact of freight ships.
