Another 35 children receive hope through a Business Bookfairy 📚🧚♂️ - The counselor shown here 👇🏽 Thank you Gean Van Horn Van Horn and Sargon Eshagh CEO and VP of Marketing at zutBe. for making this possible. Sargon, thank you for personally delivering the books to Fischer Middle School too and supporting The Eastside Education Initiative (EEI). You were one of my first tech leaders at 23 and here we are over 25 years later … giving it back. Beautiful ❤️ Can we get more donors? One classroom at a time, one school at a time … How much? $220 for a classroom set of 35. That’s it 😍 so individuals and companies can all be part of this butterfly effect. Ps: grants ok too 🥰 I want books like this everywhere. Let’s prove that we can build demand backwards - that you the professional, that you a business sees value in HOPE books in schools. So by the time kids are out - we’ve shown them a job pathway option through story. Students need to see us to be us. 4000 books given for FREE to students in a year - for many their first book. We need to scale - if you have a way, reach out. Why so cheap? The cost to you the bookfairy donor is essentially cost but the impact - PRICELESS. ✨I’m aiming for impact✨ Thank you for all your support. Donate here or DM me https://lnkd.in/g2bqNpQ8 This many students get books with a classroom donation 🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 Also … Need chargers, battery packs from some really cool people, check out ZutBe.com Peace and love everyone ✌🏽❤️ #hope #books #nonprofit #education #motivation #jobs

zutBe. is a Martha Niño🦋 BOOK FAIRY! ❤️📖 zutBe became a Martha Niño Foundation Book Fairy in May! We sponsored a class at Fischer Middle School in San Jose, California by donating 35 books. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗮 𝗡𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 empowers communities, regardless of race or socioeconomic status, to develop skills and confidence to open new doors and break the cycle of poverty. Our donation of Martha's Books helps The Eastside Education Initiative (EEI). (Counselor from EEI pictured below)! EEI has a dual mission: advocating for equal funding for East San Jose schools and providing additional educational services to promote a culture of college and career readiness. Martha’s book, "𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙊𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧 𝙎𝙞𝙙𝙚: 𝙁𝙧𝙤𝙢 𝙖 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙎𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙘𝙤𝙣 𝙑𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙚𝙮," is a collection of wonderful stories that inspire youth and adults to keep pushing forward and never give up! This partnership with the Denver Scholarship Foundation is one of many ways that Janus Henderson gets involved in local communities. This one is close to my heart as I served on DSF's marketing committee when I lived in Denver. Keep up the great work DSF! Here is a statistic that will make you stop cold in your tracks. How many books does a child from a middle income family in the US own on average? Answer: 13 books per child. How many books does a child from a lower income family in the US own on average? Answer: 1 book per every 300 households. This is fixable. I believe the more we can offset these disparities for kids early in life, the more we will level the playing field in the long run. As a company with access to a lot of schools and books, we are in a unique position to do something about this. Today, we are announcing the Literati Impact Fund, a 501(c)(3) that will expand access to books for more kids. This is work we’re doing today at the grassroots level with incredible partners like Stephen and Ayesha Curry in Oakland through Eat. Learn. Play and in Minneapolis with Start Reading Now. We want to reach more kids and more cities. Here are the three areas in which we are focused: 1. Providing gift cards to children from low-income families who cannot afford to shop the school book fair. These kids have to sit on the sidelines while their more affluent peers get to shop for books. This is heartbreaking and we have to find a way to fix this. 2. Clearing Teacher Wishlists. Teachers are spending $500-$850 out of pocket annually to fund books and supplies for the classroom. We’d like to help more teachers get funded. 3. Supporting “book fair buyouts." We can bring 100% complimentary fairs to schools in rural or poor areas that cannot receive fairs today. All kids will get tickets and take home books for free. Donations are fully tax-deductible. We know that, in combination with our wonderful 150+ publishing partners, our 4,000+ strong school community, our investors, and our philanthropic partners, we can get more books in the hands of kids who need them the most. If you know of anyone who would like to help drive forward this initiative, tag them in the post below and I’ll reach out. We are taking donations starting today, and will be announcing our Advisory Board in early 2025. Happy Giving Tuesday! literati.com/p/impact

As a Title I librarian, I know firsthand the heartbreak in a child's eyes when they see classmates purchasing those fresh new books at a Literati book fair, but they return to their class empty-handed. I also know firsthand the transformative power of allowing a child to browse and choose a book to keep for their very own--the smile and the excitement creating a real-world heart-eyes emoji effect. 😍 THAT'S why we do what we do, and that's why Literati's work to give back is so vital. Please consider giving to Literati's Impact Fund and make an impactful lasting difference in a child's life. https://lnkd.in/eUHi-bYJ #childhoodliteracy #literacy #givingtuesday #literati #library #libraries

Access to age-appropriate books at home is one of the strongest predictors of academic success for children—surpassing even parental education and socioeconomic status (Source: *Handbook of Early Literacy Research*). By donating, you can help put books into the hands of local children who need them most, giving them the tools they need for educational achievement. https://lnkd.in/gwzbwHs8
