Pinching sensation in your hip when you squat? Thanks to our movement analysis in our previous video we were able to identify that the "pinching feeling" was coming from a lack of hip flexion, which was also preventing squat depth. Here's how we fixed it. Comment "hip flexion" below and we'll DM you a link to a free short course on how to improve your hip flexion too! #onlinelearning#educationonline#elearningjourney#s killbuilding#digitaleducation#selfimprovement#online course#knowledgeispower#virtualclassroom

Turning an individual, how do you turn them? Where you hold the sheet is key and vital. You have not got as much control of the sheet if you hold it too far away. (Such as in the picture). There are several ways to turn someone over using the sheet to create an even pressure across the body is one technique. It can be kinder for the individual who is in pain around the pelvis or hips. As opposed to pushing directly on the hips.

"Bobble-head" is not a fabulous description of optimal head-spine coordination. I often see it coinciding with intentional, gestural movement of the head, usually from lower in the neck. When you use this as your cue, you pretty quickly become limited by this concept and ensuing movement. Actual recalibration of your entire movement system doesn't look like a bobble. It looks like a SPARKLE. An effervescence of life force. This is something it is much better to be precise about from the beginning. Saves time and trouble. PS I will teach you this in my next workshop- info here: https://lnkd.in/g6GQPCz2

Fix your hip “pinch” fast with this drill - It’s common to feel a “pinch” at the front of the hip during hip flexion but this is NOT good. - In fact, during a hip flexion motion like this you shouldn’t really feel the front at all. Rather, you should be feeling the glutes and hamstrings become stretched. - The core of the issue here may be poor hip “centration” which is basically the alignment of the hip joint. - I have pretty much all my coaching clients with uncomfortable hip flexion do this drill and it works amazingly well. - More often than not I’ll have them strengthen their hip flexors after this 👌 - Let me know below….what do you have hip issues? Did this drill help? #hipmobility #hippinch #hipmobilization #hipflexibility

Teaching our students to identify what hurts and then tolerating what they need to feel better is such an important life skill! So many of our students know when something is bothering them but they may not be able to articulate which part of their body hurts. So we practice! Using lots of role-play and props, we teach the students about their body parts - to name them, point to them, etc. Then, we practice choosing an item that will help make that boo-boo feel better. Knee is bleeding? Find the bandaid! Head got bumped? Get the ice pack! Practice, practice, practice!

I’m going to share with you the differences between a Hip Thrust and KAS Glute Bridge 👇 HIP THRUST: - larger range of motion (ROM). typically butt all the way tp the floor and then all the way into extension - more quad recruitment along with glutes and hammies - can use more momentum and explosiveness - vertical shines at top, knees move towards body at bottom KAS GLUTE BRIDGE - smaller ROM - less recruitment of the quads, more glutes and hammies - less explosive, more isolating. Think of it as a hip thrust pulse - vertical shins the entire movement BOTH are great options for glute growth and overall strength development. I like to combine these in a superset to get the benefits of BOTH. ➡️ AND you find this helpful but wanna take your knowledge to the next level - don’t forget we have HUGELY detailed form demos on my training app if you want to try my program :) DM me for more info #hipthrust #kasglutebridge #glutebridge #glutegrowth #exercisetips #bootyday #bootygrowth #workouttipsforwomen

Effective hip extension is a cornerstone of athleticism. But you can't extend if you don't flex first. Giving yourself space to extend into during cleans is going to give you more time to put force into the bar and generate higher levels of power. Aim to turn over in the bottom when the bar is just above your knees, then extend upwards aggressively through the hips. #strengthandconditioning
