Digitalization is revolutionizing various sectors, and rangeland restoration is no exception. It offers a powerful toolkit for decision making and evidence based monitoring. By harnessing the power of Earth observation, the LISTEN project has been able to visually track the restoration process by comparing Remote Sensing snapshots taken before, during and after reseeding. This longitudinal data analysis provides critical insights into the effectiveness of reseeding efforts, helping to identify areas of success and those that require further intervention. Such insights are invaluable for both short-term restoration efforts and long-term planning, ultimately strengthening ecosystem resilience and promoting sustainable land management practices in these vital rangelands. #Impact_that_matters #digitalization #Spatial_Analysis

#ActiveHope 🍀 As the just published - The 2024 state of the climate report: Perilous times on planet Earth starts with the statement - "We are on the brink of an irreversible climate disaster. This is a global emergency beyond any doubt.", this is high time to feel the pain. Our greed, absurdities and disrespect for nature and environment are leading us to the runway #climatechnage and inevitable #collapse. The Deep Adaptation Forum and Jem Bendell have already started working on this and in many ways are supported by the r3.0 and its work on #collapseresilience. More about the report here: https://lnkd.in/d5A2GyKk But this is also high time to talk about #Hope, not about wishful thinking but about #ActiveHope, wonderfully put by Joana Macy. We may be at the brink of collapse but I would argue that we are also at a brink of #transformation. #communities around the world are demonstrating #agency with #innovation and #resistance in all different platforms ranging from COPs to Bioregions Project. They are perhaps still #fractals and have't yet scaled out to create the #positivetipping effect, but we are close.
