IPA (Institute of Practitioners in Advertising)’s Post

This time last week agencies in 14 towns and cities across the UK opened their doors to schools, giving 2000 students their first taste of what a career in advertising could hold. But when polled, the community here on LinkedIn shared that 64% of responders never had the opportunity to experience the industry before they joined it in a professional capacity. That’s why Advertising Unlocked, and similar industry showcases are so vital. Since its inception in 2017, over 12,000 school children have attended Advertising Unlocked open days, which sees agencies partner with local schools to showcase the advertising world to teenagers and inspiring the next generation of adland superstars. Here are a few highlights from this year's agencies.
