the ocean ecosystem has been badly disturbed by human activities,the climatic effect,global warming has created gradients of Brackish water due to melting of glacier of fresh water from Antarctica and the run off from land base fresh water,the seas are getting hotter and the sea salinity is waning giving algae to flourish and reducing fish and other zooplankton, phytoplankton buoyancy which is vital for sea based life.You may have noticed Whale and Dolphin heading to shore to relieve their exhaustion due to less Buoyancy caused by fresh water melting into the sea water from Antarctica and other sources The sea is the largest source of sustenance for human population and its wellbeing must be prioritised to save ecosystem ranging from coral reef to ecosystem deep down in the Bottom.

What does the waters of northwest of Malaysia and northeast of Australia have in common? Both areas are host to a variety of coral species. But with the world heating up due to global warming, what does the future hold for this crucial reef building species? Coral bleaching - where corals expel the colourful algae that live in them, exposing their white coral skeleton. If conditions continue to persist, it could lead to the death of the coral as each polyp relies on the algae's photosynthesis to supplement it's food. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a Level 1 heatwave alert a few weeks ago while researchers have Great Barrier Reef has reported mass bleaching in the Southern parts.
