The power of human connection in learning can't be overstated! A few weeks ago, I embarked in an intensive program by Henley Business School focused on governance and stewardship, which started with an immersive in-person week. With a cohort of senior professionals (CEOs, board executives), had 7 days of in-depth learning, real-world case study challenges, inspiring debates and a good share of laughs. At the end of the week, real friendships had started to form. One highlight was recognizing how much more fluid compared to Europe are the US regulations and approach to governance, boards, role of CEO vs Chair.. Beyond the curriculum, I gained new friends, mentors, and a renewed sense of inspiration - something in my experience virtual programs are still not able to offer, no matter how prestigious the school. So, my takeaway: while some programs may work well online, when you can learn as much from your colleagues as from your teachers, choose in-person! What's been your most valuable in-person learning experience since the pandemic? #inpersonlearning #execeducation #boardpractice #henleybusinessschool #leadershipdevelopment #envisiaboardsofelite
The recently concluded Envisia Residential Week marked the beginning of an incredible journey for the 8th Cohort of the Postgraduate in Board Practice and Directorship! We’re thrilled to welcome this dynamic group of professionals into a program that leads to an internationally recognized qualification from the prestigious Henley Business School—a triple-accredited, global leader in business education. We want to extend our gratitude to the professionals that trusted our mission in promoting lifelong learning for growth and excellence, and to our faculty, who so generously shared their expertise. 🎉 Here’s to shaping the future of directorship, one cohort at a time! #BoardPractice #LeadershipExcellence #ProfessionalGrowth

I’m honored to join the F4S University Ambassador program as a representative of University of Leeds This program offers a unique chance to connect with secondary school students and inspire them to consider exciting career pathways they may not have thought about before. As an ambassador, I’ll be working with teachers, scaleups, and industry professionals to help illuminate the opportunities available to students, all while growing my own leadership, communication, and teamwork skills. Key Takeaways: • Inspiration: Helping students envision their future careers and showing them the many possibilities beyond their current view. • Skill Development: Gaining hands-on experience in leadership, public speaking, and collaboration that will help me in my professional journey. • Collaboration: Partnering with educators and industry leaders to bridge the gap between education and career opportunities. • Networking: Connecting with like-minded individuals and professionals, expanding my network, and learning from others in this dynamic community. I’m looking forward to the opportunity to share my experiences, learn from my fellow ambassadors, and contribute to making a difference in the lives of students. Excited to kick off an inspiring week at De Montfort University! 🎓 Earlier this summer, I was approached by the university to collaborate on their ‘Lead and Inspire’ program, a project designed to empower students as they prepare for their future careers. Learning about the program and being invited to contribute through INishative & Co alongside some well-established organisations was such an honour. During my own university journey, I often felt overwhelmed when asked, “What’s next after graduation?” Despite graduating with a first in my BSc, I found myself competing with thousands of other applicants for graduate schemes, only to face rejection after rejection. I even applied for non-graduate scheme roles, but again faced rejection because they required 3+ years of experience (hello, I was at university). It was disheartening and ultimately one of the key reasons I decided to pursue a master’s degree. This experience fuels my passion for supporting students as they navigate these challenges - whether that’s through advice, sharing potential employment opportunities, or even sharing my story of becoming an entrepreneur. Sometimes, we don’t all fall into graduate schemes, and that’s okay. Exploring alternative paths can lead to incredible outcomes. Today, I’m looking forward to seeing the innovative work students have developed, focused around INishative & Co for the past four weeks. I can’t wait to see their creativity and ideas come to life! 💡 #studentempowerment #futurecareers #entrepreneurship #graduateschemes #careerdevelopment #inspiration #studentinnovation #dmu #leadership #careerjourney #opportunities
