WIRED Consulting’s Emma Cowdray recently had the privilege of reviewing a range of innovative pitches from young future entrepreneurs on how digital technology can transform London into a safer, more sustainable city, aligning with the UN’s SDG 11 goals. An incredibly important topic and one that we are extremely passionate about at WIRED Consulting. The event was hosted by Tata Consultancy Services's Corporate Social Responsibility for the UK & Ireland in collaboration with Shadow to Shine, a youth employability charity in the UK, as part of their goIT STEM partnership programme. This is a remarkable initiative in which 10 young people from underserved London communities over the course of a week designed innovative tech solutions and participated in a series of masterclasses and talks focussed on the tech industry at TCS’ offices. Emma joined an inspiring panel of judges which included Bex Perry, Digital Youth Work Development Manager at the National Youth Agency; Simon F., CEO and Founder of the The Institute of Business Support Professionals; Rifka Noronha, Head of Corporate Affairs UK and Ireland, Tata Consultancy Services to share her thoughts. We’re excited to see where these talented individuals go next! A big thanks to Tata Consultancy Services, Amy Shocker, Kiera Noonan and Karinna Williams for bringing this event together.
