At Social Media Marketing World, Michael Stelzner, in his opening keynote, identified some keys to overcoming the FB algorithm apocalypse:
- Video - focus on short-form video content
- Longer comments - inspire deeper engagement
- Influencer marketing - micro-influencers specifically
- Ultimately, being human at scale.

THE REAL MAGIC SAUCE is FB Groups
We host 19 groups within our FB Page. They're super powerful, engaged, and useful to those that participate.
Ironically, I was consulting a major beauty brand yesterday about using FB Groups within their brand... they're seeking to adopt this strategy.
If companies can let go of control to their message, tone and brand - and, instead, start empowering superfans and using the power of FB Groups within their Pages... things will get very interesting.
I believe this is a real game changer.
