ASSET UPDATE | Runaway Bay Centre, QLD As part of our focus on sustainability across our portfolio, we are pleased to share Runaway Bay Centre has successfully achieved a 6-star NABERS Energy rating and 4.5-star NABERS Water rating! Acquired by Greenpool Capital in late 2021, the centre previously had a 4-star NABERS Energy rating and a 3-star NABERS Water rating. The investment of a 1.3MW photovoltaic solar system for the centre has resulted in a 50% reduction in electricity usage and reduced associated greenhouse gas emissions by 60%. The centre’s improved energy rating makes it the sixth largest shopping centre in Australia to achieve a 6-star rating.
