🌟 Transforming Lives, One Meal at a Time 🌟 The fourth annual Parramatta Street Feast showcased the incredible power of community and compassion through the simple act of sharing a meal. #TransformingLives

Over 200 people came together today at St Patrick’s Cathedral for the #ParramattaStreetFeast, an inspiring event now in its fourth year, focused on bringing the community together in support of those facing homelessness and hardship.   This year's Street Feast was the largest to date, with over a dozen local partners and volunteers across Western Sydney. The event featured a communal feast, live music, and a powerful sense of solidarity, with Bishop of Parramatta, Bishop Vincent Long OFM Conv joining the Sydney Street Choir for an impromptu performance.   "As we gather here today, we are reminded that we are only as strong as our weakest link," said Bishop Vincent Long.   “The Street Feast is a reminder to us that only by working together for justice, for humanity, that we can obtain lasting peace and the triumph of human dignity.”   Volunteers included students from Catherine McAuley Westmead, Cerdon College, and Parramatta Marist High School, who contributed to the day's success.   Local charities like Vinnies NSW, The Salvation Army Australia, and Catholic Care Western Sydney & the Blue Mountains also played a vital role, providing support, food, clothing, and valuable resources to those in need.   This event is a testament to the power of community action. The St Merkorious Charity annual fundraiser Day at the Bay, attracted the early risers with a fun run and hundreds of families to enjoy afternoon activities. The PAYCE Foundation has been a long-term sponsor of the charity and was again the major partner at this year’s Day at the Bay. Congratulations to St Merkorious for another fantastic event. #TransformingLives

More than 200 people turned out in Sydney’s south-west for a meal, snack packs and toiletries. The regular event is a collaboration with St John the Baptist, St Vincent de Paul Society NSW, the Riverwood Community Centre and the NSW Department of Communities and Justice. The service will run fortnightly for the next six months. #TransformingLives

St Vincent de Paul Society NSW say more people are sleeping rough, are disconnected from services and require urgent care for complex health issues. The PAYCE Foundation donated the fully fitted out food trailer, giving the #charity the mobility to bring services where they are most needed. #TransformingLives

Clothing charity Thread Together has announced the expansion of its highly demanded wardrobe capsule service to address the immediate need for women and children fleeing domestic violence. Since its conception last year, the initiative has delivered 100 wardrobe capsules in shelters across Australia providing nearly 3000 women and children with essential clothing items on arrival. The service will expand into another 100 women’s shelters by the end of 2024 as more women and children seek help to start a new life free of violence. 📝 - https://lnkd.in/gVwbuunJ #TransformingLives

The City of Sydney, the NSW Department of Communities and Justice, various homelessness service providers and #philanthropists have come together to implement the End Street Sleeping Collaboration's Sydney Zero project. PAYCE Foundation Director Dominic Sullivan says "Sydney Zero will make a difference as it will deliver better case co-ordination – the key to finding long term solutions for homeless people living on the street.” #TransformingLives
