We’re thrilled to share that we won the Innovative Collaboration Award at the 2024 HM Awards Australasia, thanks to our partnership with Accessible Accommodation (The Accessible Group)! 🏆 The award is much-valued recognition of our industry-leading initiative, which has seen 80+ Quest properties attain independent accreditation for their accessibility offering. Quest Apartment Hotels aspire to be pioneers in creating inclusive environments that cater to the diverse needs of individuals with disabilities. Our vision is to go beyond mere compliance with accessibility standards and regulations. Instead, we strive to exceed expectations by gaining third party accreditation of our accessible rooms, providing inclusion training for staff and continuously reviewing and upgrading our amenities and features to make stays truly effortless. You can read more about that here: https://lnkd.in/dHCgpznf 🌳 We were also thrilled to be awarded a Highly Commended in the Environmental Program category, for our partnership with Hotels for Trees (we’ve already helped plant over 4000 trees!) and in the Service to the Community category. At Quest, we take our responsibility to do better seriously, and believe a successful brand is one that shows up to leave things better than we found them. It’s why we have established meaningful partnerships with organisations and initiatives such as: ✅ Project Net Zero, a 100 percent Indigenous-owned and operated organisation that aims to make hotel and office re-fits ethical and environmentally-friendly. Project Net Zero diverts furniture from landfill, then re-homes it with community organisations to ensure it makes its way to vulnerable communities. ✅ Housing All Australians, a national organisation helping to deliver housing solutions for Australians in need. HAA is establishing ‘Pop-Up Shelters’, turning dormant buildings into residences for people in need and Quest is assisting HAA to furnish these spaces and make them feel like home. ✅ Netflix documentary Under Cover, which highlights the silent pandemic in Australia, in which women over the age of 50 find themselves homeless. Quest is a production and impact partner of this film, and has supported nearly 20 community screenings. ✅ And soon, we’ll be announcing a new partnership with Foodbank Australia – stay tuned! Congratulations also to Quest North Sydney, which received a Highly Commended in the Apartment Hotel category and Quest Orange which received a Highly Commended in the Regional Property category 👏 👏 👏 We’re so proud to have been recognised for our efforts across Quest. Thank you to HM Magazine and Ruth Hogan! #Quest #QuestApartmentHotels #TheAscottLimited #AscottAustralia David Mansfield GAICD Anthea Dimitrakopoulos, GAICD

For young people from regional areas battling cancer, accessing treatment can mean long periods of time spent far from the comforts of home. Through Quest’s partnership with the Sony Foundation’s You Can Stay program, we provide regional and rural youth cancer patients an apartment to stay in with their families or carers – at a charity rate with Sony Foundation funding the stay – for as long as needed while accessing treatment. So far, we’ve been able to do this for 28,000+ nights of accommodation, across 32 Quest properties. ❤️ Watch this video to find out more... We’re kicking off the week by welcoming new business owners to the Quest Network! 🥳 In Brisbane, Puneet Kumar, Gian Joon and Kiran Kundani have teamed up to helm Quest Woolloongabba. Puneet (who has a 20-year background spanning restaurants, franchise ownership and business development) and Gian (who has experience in hotel management) will be operational in the business. Kiran, an entrepreneur in his own right with an impressive hotel resume, joins as a silent partner. Quest Woolloongabba is within shouting distance of the iconic ‘Gabba stadium, and perfectly located to take advantage of Australia’s growing love of sports travel. And over in WA, we’re welcoming Samuel Ballard as well as Michael Chidlow as new owners of Quest Rockingham Apartment Hotel. A WA local originally, Samuel will be moving back to his home state to take on the new adventure, as well as running day-to-day operations for the business. Samuel first joined Quest as the Franchise Operations Support Manager in 2022, having come from the Ascott UK team. Michael has successfully owned and operated Quest Joondalup since mid 2023. A couple of blocks back from the Rockingham foreshore and the pristine waters of Mangles Bay, Quest Rockingham has always been a jewel in Quest’s WA crown. Congratulations to all and we wish you the greatest success! 🏨 #QuestApartmentHotels #Quest #TheAscottLimited #AscottAustralia

It’s a wrap on Quest’s November Basecamp! 🎬 Quest’s twice-yearly Basecamp events are key to our continuing success, an opportunity for the network to gather, share insights and collaborate on the year ahead. Our Spring Basecamp, held at Brisbane’s Howard Smith Wharves, felt particularly special—there was an undeniable sense of momentum and unity as we looked ahead, aiming towards making 2025 better than ever. Managing Director David Mansfield GAICD opened the day, and reminded us why we’re more than just a company. Quest is a community, built by individuals who raise the bar every day. “It’s so important that we recognise individuals who work in our businesses, who go above and beyond, and who are proud to be part of a community that stands for more than just making money. That’s what we’re about, and that’s what we’ll continue to strive towards.” Jennifer Warn, our General Manager of Sales and Distribution, celebrated the creativity within our Quest family. “Our diverse talents combine to form a dynamic group who can achieve remarkable things,” Jennifer said. “When we collaborate, share ideas and support one another, we amplify our strengths and drive results that none of us could accomplish alone.” The day was packed with stories of resilience, passion and the collective drive that pushes Quest forward. Here are a few highlights… ⭐️ Quest Brand Ambassador and gold medalist Cate Campbell shared insights on stepping outside of our comfort zones. Cate explained how identifying your optimal performance zone is key. Her mantra? BE BRAVE. Bravery isn’t the absence of fear—it’s acknowledging it and moving forward anyway. 🫶 We reinforced our commitment to Doing Better and reignited our shared dedication to making a positive impact—for our guests, customers, the planet, and its people. 🔍 Joanne Cohen from STR provided us with a valuable glimpse into what’s ahead. With her extensive knowledge, Jo shared key trends and performance insights across the regional, suburban and CBD markets. She also offered a few predictions that are helping guide our strategic planning for 2025. 🏆 We announced National Salesperson of the Year: a huge congratulations to Constance Tsardanis from Quest Eight Mile Plains, whose outstanding contributions made her a deserving recipient of this award. Constance’s achievements are a true reflection of the excellence we strive for across the entire Quest network, and we couldn’t be prouder. Congratulations also to our regional winners: Kendall Brooks from Quest Newcastle West, Sri Ajeng Junika from Quest Midland, and Katherine Coulston from Quest Collingwood. As we reflect on the inspiring moments and outstanding achievements shared throughout Basecamp, it’s clear that our collective commitment to excellence, collaboration, and growth will continue to drive Quest forward. ✨ #QuestApartmentHotels #Quest #TheAscottLimited #Ascott

What does a commitment to sustainability look like in practice? For us, it looks like 4,100-plus saplings 🌳 planted in collaboration with Hotels for Trees, a not-for-profit organisation that encourages hotel guests to opt out of daily housekeeping and uses a portion of the savings this generates to plant and grow trees. Hotels for Trees began in the Netherlands in 2021, then quickly spread throughout Europe and the UK and, in 2023, to Australia, with Quest Frankston becoming one of the first Australian hotels to sign on to the initiative. Today, the list of Quest properties involved includes Quest Frankston Quest Caroline Springs Quest Werribee Quest North Sydney Quest South Brisbane Apartments Quest Innaloo Quest Joondalup Quest Warrnambool Quest Dandenong Central Quest Geelong Central Quest Orange Quest Bella Vista Quest Midland Quest Kings Park Quest Mounts Bay Road Quest Robina #QuestGeelong #QuestPreston #QuestStLeonards We’re thrilled with the impact we’ve made so far, and like Hugo van Roermund, Hotels for Trees’ regional manager for Australia and New Zealand says: “We’re only just getting started.” #QuestApartmentHotels #Quest #TheAscottLimited #Ascott

♻ This week is Planet Ark’s National Recycling Week ♻ Established in 1996, National Recycling Week is held every year during the second week of November to raise awareness about the importance of reducing our waste. Not only does this keep valuable materials out of landfill, it also benefits the environment by reducing greenhouse gas emissions. This week, we’re reflecting on the changes we’ve made as a brand to ensure we leave things a little better for the next generation. Our commitment to sustainability has continued to unfold across the Quest network, particularly when it comes to plastic reduction. So far, almost 90 percent of Quest properties in Australia have now been kitted out with bulk amenities. In terms of tangible impact, the plastic saving from this initiative is around 40 tonnes of plastic per year diverted from landfill. Recently, Michael Bevilaqua, business owner at Quest South Perth Foreshore and Quest Perth Ascot, took us through his in-house efforts, showing that little changes can yield big impacts when you’re committed to the long game. “Quest is 120 or so apartment hotels in Australia - but with the entire hotel sector focusing on something like this it can really make a huge difference to the environment and to landfill,” he says. “I think we all have a key responsibility to champion this. We’ve all got huge opportunities to reduce plastic waste, and we just have to take those opportunities as we move along.” #recycling #sustainability #Quest #QuestApartmentHotels #TheAscottLimited #Ascott
