  • 2025 COLLEGE PRINCIPAL Last week we welcomed Kath Little, our incoming Principal, as she visited the College to meet with staff and students. Bringing some of Brisbane's rain with her, Kath thoroughly enjoyed her time immersing herself in our College community. She even had the chance to join in our famous Just Dance lunchtime session! We’re very excited to have Kath join us officially in 2025 and look forward to the future under her leadership. Amber Hauff #daretoimagine

  • BRIGHTER LIVES GIVING DAY 💙💛 You might have noticed our College turning blue and yellow this week! We’re showing our support for Brighter Lives Townsville Hospital Foundation's Giving Day today. This year marks 35 years of Brighter Lives improving healthcare in North Queensland. The foundation raises funds for essential medical equipment, projects, research, and those little comforts that improve hospital stays, all thanks to their dedicated team of 120 volunteers in yellow shirts who assist throughout the region. Every dollar raised stays in North Queensland and supports local initiatives, no matter the size. Join us in making a meaningful difference in healthcare - donate this Giving Day! Explaining engineering with a sweet twist The GHD Townsville office hosted 26 senior students from St Patrick's College Townsville on Wednesday to explain STEM careers with a sweet twist. Some of our local ladies went back in memory lane to tell their unique stories on how they became involved in STEM and outlined the many different pathways to explore careers. After the presentation the students were encouraged to become creative to build a bridge structure out of marshmallows. The girls were not short of creativity and didn’t shy away from getting their fingers covered in sugar. Thank you to the team Amy Matamua, Morgan Hurlock, Sophie Lovett, Emma Raudonikis and Bradley Hamilton for planning and executing a successful morning.
