🇪🇺 With just 51.4% of votes in favour, the European Parliament yesterday approved the Von der Leyen 2.0 Commission, recording the lowest parliamentary support for a Commission's election in history. 🔔 The right-leaning Von der Leyen 2.0 Commission has just been approved by the European Parliament in today's plenary vote. ✔️ 370 ❌ 282 🔘 36 🇪🇺 During the confirmation, the political groups split, resulting in a thin majority of 370 votes. 💡A new report by the EIRIS Foundation shows how business lobbying succeeded in having the financial services companies not subject to requirements introduced by the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). 📑 Thanks to the "Social LobbyMap" methodology, the report analyses corporate lobbying on the basis of published information, Freedom of Information requests and media reports in the two years prior to the agreement that removed finance from the scope of the EU directive. 🔗 Read the blog post: https://lnkd.in/ef4hAg8u
