One week since Krispy Kreme's grand opening, and the buzz is still going strong! Their brand-new 4,600 sq. ft. flagship location in Edmonton, Alberta, marks a sweet re-entry into the Canadian market. To ensure a durable, high-performance building envelope for this landmark project, Krispy Kreme partnered with ZS2 Technologies. Our TechPanels—integrating framing, insulation, and MgO cement sheathing—streamlined construction, minimized waste, and delivered exceptional energy efficiency. Massive kudos to this iconic chain for prioritizing sustainable construction and walking the walk. It’s one thing to talk about sustainability—it’s another to build it into your foundation. Here’s to innovation, great design, and maybe even grabbing a hot donut fresh off the line 🍩 Tyra Jarbeau, Levi Hetrick, Shil P.

💡SSRIA is proud to share with you our new Case Studies for SSRIA funded projects! At our core we are committed to sharing innovative information amongst our industry peers, so stay tuned to our LinkedIn over the upcoming weeks to see more of our incredible projects highlighted. Our seventh Green Building Technology Network project was completed with Homes By Sorensen. Project Leo, located in the community of Balmoral in Calgary, received partial funding for the incremental costs associated with building and monitoring an affordable, replicable, multi-generational infill building. The project was of particular interest because it has the potential to serve as a model for community-dense, low-energy housing designed to Passive House standards, with Net-Zero emissions. The goal was to show the affordability and sustainability of homes built with integrated design techniques, and with on-site energy generation. Special design features included the maximization of shared walls and mechanical equipment, thereby reducing footprint and cost; air-source heat pumps; upgraded ventilation and duct systems; and an integrated home energy monitoring system. At our core we are committed to sharing innovative information amongst our industry peers, so stay tuned to our LinkedIn over the upcoming weeks to see more of our incredible projects highlighted. Our sixth Green Building Technology Network project was completed with Triovest Realty Advisors. Triovest installed an artificial intelligence (AI) software involving machine learning based control of the office building’s ventilation systems. The software was designed to deliver the functional needs of temperature control and air quality in the most holistic energy efficient manner possible without the need for major capital disbursements. This innovative software implementation is the first of its kind in Alberta. Check out the case study below, or learn more about this innovative project here: https://lnkd.in/gcN77d8v

Thank you, Forbes!! I’m incredibly honored to be on this year’s Forbes 30 Under 30 list in Energy and Green Tech! 🌟 This recognition is not just mine - it belongs equally to my amazing co-founder, Sheida Shahi. Your unwavering drive and partnership have been the backbone of this journey. From the early days, through all the challenges, to the moments when you pulled me back to my feet and pushed me forward, we’ve come such a long way. Adaptis wouldn’t be what it is today without your tirelessness and hard work 💕 A huge shoutout to the Adaptis team - you’re the heart of everything we do. Your passion, dedication, and hard work are what make us thrive. This recognition is a reflection of all of us 😎 💪 A quick heart-to-heart: balancing the demands of finishing a PhD while running a startup has been incredibly challenging. There were days when the exhaustion felt overwhelming, with barely any light visible at the end of the tunnel. Finding solutions through that pain became a superpower that kept me moving forward. Seeing my name on this list was such an uplifting and validating moment. Special thanks to our investors and mentors - your guidance and support have been pivotal in helping us grow. Our vision to make circularity a reality in the built environment is stronger than ever, and this milestone motivates us even more to keep pushing forward! 🚀 #Forbes30Under30 #EnergyAndGreenTech #CircularEconomy #Sustainability #BuildCircular https://lnkd.in/gs5DDng7

  • 💡SSRIA is proud to share with you our new Case Studies for SSRIA funded projects! At our core we are committed to sharing innovative information amongst our industry peers, so stay tuned to our LinkedIn over the upcoming weeks to see more of our incredible projects highlighted. Our fifth Green Building Technology Network project was completed with T5M Connect. The T5M Connect Project, located in North Glenora, Edmonton, received partial funding for the incremental costs of building and monitoring an affordable and replicable multi-unit residential infill building (MURB) that will help increase community density to Passive House standards. The goal was to demonstrate the minimization of greenhouse gas consumption through higher efficiency and integrated design techniques. Some of these techniques include maximizing shared walls, utilization of air-source heat pumps, upgraded ventilation and duct system, as well as the integration of a home automation system.
