📣 Following the release of the next iteration of the Regenerating Together Global Framework for Regenerative Agriculture and in the spirit of inclusivity, we hosted an open-access webinar to introduce the wider food and beverage industry and other stakeholders to the updated version. 🍃 We were privileged to be joined by Yves Leclerc from McCain Foods, Sarah Lockwood from Danone and Axelle Bodoy from Louis Dreyfus Company who shared powerful insights on how the RT Framework supports their organisations’ ambitions to scale regenerative agriculture and drive meaningful impact. Key Takeaways: 🔹 Yves Leclerc praised the RT Framework for its ability to offer a standardised, global approach to regenerative agriculture that is both practical for farmers and tailored to meet supply-chain needs. By incorporating farmers in the co-design of regenerative agriculture initiatives, it encourages meaningful engagement with growers from the outset, driving farm-level climate resilience and sustainability. This will be further improved with the future integration of farmer livelihoods into the framework. 🔹 Sarah Lockwood emphasised the importance of context-driven adoption, highlighting the need to address local priorities and leverage multi-stakeholder collaborations to scale efforts. She believes that a shift from simply reporting practices to actively monitoring real-world impacts will foster stronger partnerships between suppliers and farmers and lead to tangible outcomes that transcend compliance. 🔹 Axelle Bodoy highlighted the compelling business case for regenerative agriculture in ensuring the long-term viability of farming systems and supply chain decarbonisation. Positioning the RT Framework as a vital tool for aligning downstream expectations with farmer-centric solutions, she advocates for landscape-level scaling through collaborative, multi-stakeholder initiatives that maximise resources and amplify results. 🤝 The call to action from all was clear - the food and beverage industry is energised and poised to leverage the RT Framework as a tool around which multistakeholder initiatives across rotations and landscapes can be catalysed to achieve scalable, meaningful change. #PeoplePoweredAgriculture #RegeneratingTogether #regenerativeagriculture

📣 The third session in the Regen Reflections webinar series, hosted by SAI Platform and Cool Farm Alliance, highlighted the importance of co-creating initiatives that truly resonate with farmers and how regenerative agriculture thrives on collaboration, adaptability, and shared visions. Experts in the field shared case studies and practical insights across diverse farming systems with some key themes emerging: 🎯Listening and learning: Farmers’ insights are essential for shaping practical, impactful initiatives. 🎯Trust and relationship building: Regular feedback, co-designed workshops and agronomic support foster loyalty and collaboration. 🎯Incentives matter: Financial rewards and subsidies empower farmers to transition confidently to regenerative methods. Key Takeaways: 🔑 Kelly Rincon of Sustainable Food Lab introduced the three-legged stool model: Technical Support, Cultural Acceptance and Financial Incentives and explained how the "North Dakota Trusted Advisors Program” pools public and private funding to train trusted agronomic advisors in soil health practices while providing farmers with incentive payments and support for capacity building. 🔑 Harold Perry, a largescale farmer and supplier to McCain Foods shared success stories in regenerative potato farming, underscoring the importance of building up the soil health and resilience so that the plant biology and soil biology can interact synergistically, requiring less intervention. 🔑 Niek Engbers van Keulen shared McCain Foods's ambition to source 100% of potatoes from regenerative farms. He also introduced the DNA soil barcoding that they are trialling to measure soil micro-biological diversity and learn about correlations between practices, microorganisms and performance. 🔑 Julie Reneau of Nestlé Nespresso SA and Myriam Sainz Stuyck of TechnoServe shared insights into the 20 year old AAA Program, which supports 155k smallholder coffee farmers through agronomist partnerships. They stressed the importance of co-design workshops and premiums for nature-based practices that ensure farmer profitability and sustainability. 💚 Huge thank you to our speakers for another hugely engaging session. Stay tuned for updates on the next webinar in the Regen Reflections series next week! #PeoplePoweredAgriculture #RegenReflections

🌱 SAI Platform's Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) is currently developing a module that will offer targeted support to assist members in navigating the European Union’s Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD). 📣 This add-on to the FSA has been designed to help companies seamlessly integrate the regulation's requirements at farm level. With the module release planned for 2025, the team are calling for support with on-farm pilots throughout November and December. The pilot will involve a 2-hour on-farm session with a Farm Management Group Coordinator and farmer, plus an additional hour for feedback. Participants will benefit from early access to the EU CSDDD Module and the opportunity to influence the module’s Self-Assessment questions, Priority Screening Tool, and verification guidance. ➡️ To participate or learn more, reach out to FSA Manager Joe Iveson at jiveson@saiplatform.org by Friday, 15th November. #PeoplePoweredAgriculture
