SARS-CoV-2 Spike Persists in the Skull-Meninges-Brain Axis of Some COVID-19 Patients – Now published in Cell Host & Microbe the German study showing how the viral spike can persist long after infection in the brain and cerebrospinal fluid of Long Covid patients. Persistence of the spike is associated with inflammation and neurodegenerative changes.
