AbstractAbstract
[en] The models and methods applied to quark and gluon plasmas are studied. Statistical-mechanics equations concerning density operator, entropy, equilibrium-distribution partition functions, free fermions and ensemble equivalences are reviewed. The nuclear-matter thermal-properties calculation and experimental data are shown. The quark-matter properties, at finite-density and finite-temperature conditions, are calculated by means of Nambu and Jona-Lasinio model

AbstractAbstract
[en] The approximation methods relevant to describe many-fermion systems at finite temperatures are reviewed. The grand canonical formalism is outlined for independent fermions, and its applicability to the case of finite nuclei is discussed for which fluctuations arising from the small number of particles involved are expected to be sizeable. Derivation of the mean field equations is presented based on the variational method. Perturbation expansions of partition functions are discussed. A particularly important subseries containing the so called ring diagrams whose summation leads to the random phase approximation (RPA) is studied. An application to the physics of giant resonances in hot nuclei is described. (K.A.) 64 refs., 3 figs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Two phonon-states of alkali-metal clusters (treated as jellium spheres) are calculated by using a method based on a perturbative construction of periodic orbits of the time-dependent mean-field equations. Collective vibrations with various multipolarities in charged Na21+ are considered. (author) 26 refs.; 2 figs.; 3 tabs

AbstractAbstract
[en] Skyrme's interaction is shown to lead to significant simplifications in generator coordinate calculations. As an illustration giant resonances are calculated using pure oscillator wave functions. Results are presented for monopole, dipole and quadrupole isoscalar and isovector modes using two different Skyrme forces SIII and SIV. A good agreement with available experimental data is obtained

AbstractAbstract
[en] A nonperturbative calculation of the spectrum of SU(2) Yang-Mills theory based on a Hamiltonian formulation is described. The approach exploits gauge invariant variables similar to those used in nuclear physics to describe collective motion in nuclei. (authors). 13 refs
