In August, we warned what could happen if the conflict in Lebanon escalated. Months later, the impact on children and families is even worse than we feared. Our teams are on the ground, working tirelessly to try to meet the growing needs of those impacted by the conflict. World Vision in Lebanon

It happened and it ended. The hardwork starts today - to make sure violations of the IHL never happen again, to still meet the needs of the people who have lost almost everything, and help them recover from this devastating war. But most importantly, to ensure that the impact of war on children is contained. Children are the future of 🇱🇧. This is the time to work hard to ensure that our children go back to schools and are mentally and physically healthy.

Children celebrate independence day in a collective shelter in Lebanon, filled with hopes for brighter days ahead 🇱🇧

In 1954, World Children's Day was established to promote unity and improve children's welfare worldwide. Now in Lebanon, children are enduring immense hardships, repeated displacement, airstrikes, and the devastating impacts of death and injuries. 1 in 5 children are now displaced with their families.
