Despre noi

Dr. Mădălina Galațchi participated in the "Sprat Age Reading Workshop," held from November 18-22 in Varna, Bulgaria, under the auspices of the General Fisheries Commission for the Mediterranean (GFCM - FAO). The purpose of this event was to develop a new age reading protocol for sprat, a commercially important fish species in the Black Sea. By establishing a common methodology, researchers aim to ensure more efficient and sustainable management of fish stocks in the region. *** FOLLOW US: YT & Instagram: @incdm.grigoreantipa FB: /INCDM

SAFEBLESS: an operational service dedicated to navigation safety and marine spatial planning *** A new operational service dedicated to navigation safety in the western Black Sea has been developed by the National Institute for Marine Research and Development "Grigore Antipa" (NIMRD), in collaboration with HIDROMOD Portugal. The operational service is available for FREE to users such as port operators, Romanian naval authorities, or researchers. Its purpose is to provide support in managing and monitoring maritime activities. High resolution and accuracy are two of the advantages offered by SAFEBLESS. The service is based on numerical modeling of wave and current parameters, with oceanographic data provided by CMEMS. Access the service for FREE: https://lnkd.in/dk3RYKpU SAFEBLESS is funded by the Copernicus Marine Environmental Service, through the "User Engagement Programme 2022-2028." *** FOLLOW US: YT & Instagram: @incdm.grigoreantipa FB: /INCDM

Grigore Antipa - founder of the Bio-Oceanographic Institute in Constanța Did you know that Grigore Antipa, one of Romania's most renowned biologists, was also the founder of the Bio-Oceanographic Institute in Constanța, now known as the National Institute for Marine Research and Development? Through this initiative, he paved the way for fundamental research in oceanography and marine biology, significantly contributing to the understanding of marine ecosystems and the development of marine environmental conservation policies. Today, 157 years after Grigore Antipa's birth, his work continues to inspire generations of researchers. And we, NIMRD "Grigore Antipa", continue to make important contributions to marine and coastal ecosystems through the expertise and professionalism of our research team. #science #research #researchers #environment #GrigoreAntipa #NIMRD #Constanța *** FOLLOW US: YT & Instagram: @incdm.grigoreantipa FB: /INCDM
