The Brazilian icon returned to the Esports World Cup this week as a competitor to take on Team Falcons’ Msdossary in a wildly entertaining celebrity showmatch. 🔪 First up: Counter-Strike 2! Neymar is a passionate CS2 fan and co-owner of Brazilian organization FURIA, so it made sense that he’d team up with one of his org’s superstars, the legendary Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo. Together, they dominated Msdossary and Vicious Esports’ Fawaz “varK” Alenzey to win the first leg of the showmatch in style. ⚽ Msdossary fared better in Rocket League, tying up the score 1-1. While Neymar had a lot of help from content creator Musty, it wasn’t enough to stop Msdossary from securing the 2-0 victory, setting up a thrilling finale. 🆚 TEKKEN 8 was the deciding game, a 1-on-1 battle between Neymar and Msdossary that electrified the sellout crowd. Both superstars have made careers out of performing under pressure, but in the end, it was Neymar who landed the knockout blow! The Al-Hilal striker couldn’t contain his excitement, jumping out of his seat and energetically shadow boxing for the camera. Look back at the biggest moments immortalized by these wonderful photographs 👇 🥹FIFA legend Msdossary couldn’t contain his emotions after learning Team Falcons, the esports team he co-founded, had officially placed first in the Esports World Club Championship and won a life-changing $7m. 🥳 It was a wonderful moment as Msdossary celebrated the Saudi Arabian club’s triumph with the ecstatic local fans. 🌟 Starcraft II champion Clem dominated everyone in his path, dropping just two maps the entire tournament and sweeping favorite Serral 5-0 in the final. 🎉Congratulations to Team Falcons who have secured first place in the Esports World Club Championship! 🎉 Here’s how our history makers did it: 🥇 By the end of Week 2, Team Falcons had already secured two titles, winning Call of Duty: Warzone and Free Fire, a feat unmatched by any other club. With 2,000 points on the board, they proved to be a formidable force.  🤏Falcons narrowly missed out on two more titles, finishing 2nd in both the MLBB and Apex Legends finals. In the MLBB final, they were edged out by Selangor Red Giants in a 7-game series. The Apex Legends final was even more heartbreaking, with Alliance clinching victory after a grueling 7-hour showdown - the longest in the history of Apex Legends. 🏆 Heading into Week 7, all eyes were on Team Liquid and Team Vitality as they aimed to challenge Team Falcons' lead. However, despite some hard-fought matches, no one could catch up. Team Falcons co-founder and FIFA legend MSDossary learned of the victory just before competing in EA Sports FC 24. 👀 As we’re heading into the final day of Week 7, there’s still $13 million left in the Club Championship prize pool - and the difference between the 2nd and 8th place spots is only a couple hundred points.
