The news that Elon Musk’s xAI has doubled its value to $50bn in barely six months leads the AI Weekly Digest. The OpenAI rival has raised $5bn in its latest funding round. PA Media has launched a new fact checking website for the Irish general election, set for November 29. Election Check 24 Ireland is a partnership with The Journal FactCheck, supported by the Google News Initiative. The site aims to tackle mis- and disinformation and contains facts checks for journalists and publishers from both PA and The Journal FactCheck on claims made during the election campaign in Ireland PA’s training division PA Media Academy will also continue to provide free digital verification training sessions for partners who sign up to the initiative.
