Absolutely awesome effort from Jo Bradshaw and her Ama Dablam team. The mountain can throw a million and one things at you - its both the beauty of it and the challenges it presents. 'Dream it - Plan it - Live it!!' as we say at 360. And oh boy, they did...

Tales from the Ama Dablam trail - (definitely) The End I am always a little bit sad when I have packed my bags to go home. Not that I don’t want to go home because after a month out here in Nepal, I am definitely missing my own bed. It’s just that I love it here so much, love the teams I work with, love the vibe of Kathmandu, love the pure fresh air of the mountains, love the altitude and love the tough nature of expeditions in the Himalaya. My bags are packed, final coffee and cake being consumed, obligatory unnecessary bag purchase made and 50 sets of Prayer Flags duly bought and packed for Kendal Mountain Festival later this week. Half of my small and perfectly formed team are on their way south to Australia whilst Christine and I are heading north back to Blighty with stinky bags and buckets full of memories. This expedition has been a blast. Each day filled with great chats, learning opportunities, beautiful views, mostly Type 1 fun, a little bit of Type 2 thrown in for good measure, and true teamwork. The Ama expedition after burn will last for a long time and I will revel in its glow. I am giving a talk to a school on Wednesday evening with ‘family’ being part of the brief and I will talk animatedly about my wonderful expedition family that I have had the privilege of being a part of for the last month. What ever you are up to this Monday, I hope you can surround yourself with your own expedition family, knowing that you have each other’s back. Until next time Nepal…❤️🇳🇵 360 Expeditions Páramo Directional Clothing SueMe Water-to-Go Ltd Osprey Europe PHD

Tales from the Ama Dablam trail - safety, fun, summit. We safely made our way back to Ama Dablam Base Camp yesterday after a great climb up this Mother of all mountains on Friday. She is a truly technical beast with no let up from base camp to the summit, you need to have your brain switched on every step of the way. Terry and Pemba reached the 6812m summit at around 8am whilst Christine, Hira and I had our path blocked by a big crevasse which was impassable when we reached it so our summit was at around 6,600m. Christine was happy with that as was I. Sometimes it’s just not your time to stand on the summit and turning around was the best and safest option. Ama Dablam was keeping us safe. More later this week when we are back in the land of plentiful oxygen. Our priorities now are to eat, sleep, rehydrate and take in what has been a great expedition so far, and it is not over yet. Onwards back to Kathmandu we go. Thanks for following along with our expedition and have a great rest of your weekend. 360 Expeditions #DreamItPlanItDoIt Páramo Directional Clothing SueMe Osprey Europe Water-to-Go Ltd

A throwback to the brilliant Emergency Service Challenge team who have raised an amazing amount for charity and made unforgettable memories with new lifelong friends. The friends you make on the mountain are friends for life! #charitychallenge #expedition #makememories #kilimanjaro #360expeditions
Today, some of the team went off on their long-awaited safari for a few days before heading home. The others are at the airport, ready to board their flights home. We’re filled with reflection and gratitude for what we have achieved together. The final fundraising total is yet to be confirmed, but we were approaching £9,500, which is a phenomenal figure. This has increased per person compared to last year. Not only will some amazing charities benefit from the fundraising, but those who took part in the trek will have memories that will last a lifetime. In this photo are the strong men and women who supported us up the mountain. They fed us, housed us, kept us safe, and they couldn’t do enough to ensure we had an incredible experience. Their lust for life and the smiles they brought to our faces each day were nothing short of life-changing. They didn’t want much; they don’t have much, but what they do have is life in abundance. They have everything and more, and we have certainly learnt from the way they conduct themselves and treat others. We’re working on a full review of this year’s challenge, and next year’s events will be released in the next week or so! Are you interested in taking part and raising money for emergency service charities? If you’re a charity looking to set up an event, please get in touch too. 360 Expeditions Sky Blue Adventures

From 👗 to 🥾 - 2 sides of the same coin. When people ask if I have a ‘real’ job or a ‘normal’ life I reply with a yes. My portfolio of work is real and normal to me, it just may not be to them. If I were to draw a Venn diagram with the 4 areas of my business, Leadership Development - Expedition Leader - Outdoor Instructor - Motivational Speaker, the magic in the middle which encompasses all 4 is growth. Growth for my clients and also for me as each part is beneficial to the other. I am in Kathmandu as I write this post, about to head off to the Khumbu Valley with a lovely team of 3 clients and working with an incredible team of Sherpa guides for an expedition to climb 6,812m mountain, Ama Dablam. This is be my 3rd time on the mountain and with 2 unsuccessful previous attempts due to bad weather, I am hoping that my 3rd time lucky will translate into a summit for us all. Though this expedition isn’t about my summit success, it’s about theirs. A summit for me will be the cherry on the cake and I am heading into the expedition with relentless positivity and remembering that the target may be for a successful summit, the goal is to come back safely with many memories. (thanks for the expressions Jake Meyer BEM FRGS) Here’s to living a life which suits us as individuals which supports our growth to be the best versions of ourselves. I will be quiet on here until we are back in Kathmandu in 3+ weeks time so until then, wishing you all well. Safety - Fun - Summit Onwards and upwards! 360 Expeditions #LeadershipDevelopment #Adventure #Growth

Acclimatisation day climbing 600m to reach the summit of Gokyo Ri. This gave us outstanding views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu. Lhotse, Pumori. A tough climb but all clients did really well to reach the top. It is an honour to share the high mountains with our guide Da Jangbu who has sumitted Everest 13 times. Cheering on Stuart Ritchie's Trek Climb Fitness team as they are exploring the Atlas Mountain range on their way to the summit of Toubkal. Taking in a loop route makes for an even more stunning slice of the mountains and takes them away from the busier trails. Let the adventure commence!!!
