About us

Established in 1997, the British Tomato Growers’ Association champions the British tomato and represents commercial growers in the UK. The British Tomato Growers’ Association is the foremost protected crops grower Association in Great Britain. Steered by a board of Tomato producing company owners and supported by a team of experts - The TGA Technical committee, our work raises awareness of Britain’s tasty tomatoes and showcases the fruit in all its glory. From spreading the word about health benefits to explaining the sustainability of supply, our aim is simple: encourage more consumers to buy British tomatoes and support our local British growers - the best in the world. And with the British tomato season running from March to October, and with some growers producing all year round, there’s plenty of time to indulge in this tasty all-round superfood.
