"Alone we can do so little; together we can do so much." Helen Keller changed how we think about people with deafblindness and what they can achieve. Today we celebrate the changemakers who continue this fight - changing minds, perceptions and beliefs. We've spent 30 years supporting families, educators and employers globally so children and adults with deafblindness can live and thrive within their community. It started in India, just one country. Today our work stretches from South Asia to South America - across 8 countries, supporting 80,000 people to change their lives every year. Together, we can make change happen. Thrilled to receive a @zeroproject Award for our project supporting Micro-Entrepreneurs (ME) with complex disabilities! The programme matches already existing micro-entrepreneurs with deafblindess or complex disabilities with a mentor who supports them to develop and grow their business further to increase their income. Through this support, 28 of the 36 MEs we support are now able to lead a more independent and fulfilling life. Zero Project is working for a world with zero barriers. Worldwide, the Zero Project finds and shares solutions that improve the daily lives and legal rights of all persons with disabilities, as intended and encouraged by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. #InclusiveFutures funded by UK Aid #ZeroProjectAwardee2025 #ZeroCon25 #Zerobarriers

Our Team Bhutan Trekkers visited us in Nepal at our school in Kathmandu before heading off for a rather cold climate (-10) 🥶 Our work is breaking barriers and shaping the way our programmes can support children with deafblindness and their parents. Through therapy and inclusive education for children and vocational skills in bag making business’ for parents, this is shaping a sustainable model for supporting families. Our Trekkers were inspired before setting off to challenge themselves as well as raising funds for our global work. You can support them and show your strength in kindness too 👇 https://lnkd.in/eYBgY46h #inspired #inclusiveeducation Sunil Shah Rex Shah Nick Modha MBA

In Rangpur, Bangladesh, the needle of Kazoly’s sewing machine is a blur, as her thriving dress-making business takes off. But her journey to independence was anything but easy. Born with deafblindness and cataracts, as a child Kazoly was bullied, shunned, and isolated. In 2020, everything changed when Kazoly's family met with a Sense International educator. Kazoly was finally given the support she needed and was introduced to tactile sign language. Her passion for learning was reignited! Kazoly went on to join our skill development programme with Inclusive Futures. Today, Kazoly isn’t just running a business, she’s a changemaker! Her determination has transformed her life and earned her the respect and admiration of her community. You can read more of Kazoly's story here: https://lnkd.in/eQACiX8f Donate to our appeal during the @Big-Give next week and support more people like Kazoly to achieve their potential. #deafblindness #support #BigGive
