It’s also an important time to reflect on key issues affecting men’s health and well-being. Here are a few key facts: 🔹 Men's Mental Health: Globally, men are less likely to seek help for mental health challenges. 13 men die every day by suicide in the UK, that is nearly 5,000 men every year. Encouraging open conversations can help break the stigma. 🔹 Life Expectancy: On average, men have a lower life expectancy than women. On average, c12,000 men die from prostate cancer every year. This is 33 per day and one every 45 minutes. Lifestyle changes and regular health check-ups can make a significant difference. 🔹 Work-Life Balance: Men, like everyone, face challenges in achieving a healthy work-life balance. Addressing this is key to building more inclusive, supportive environments. The theme for International Men's Day 2024 is "Men's Health Champions." This theme emphasises the importance of addressing men's health issues and aims to encourage men to take charge of their well-being, both physically and mentally.
