Something New is Happening in Housing We are approaching an exciting milestone as we prepare for the formal approval of our newly merged organisation. The formal merger will be completed on January 6th 2025, at which time The Wrekin Housing Group will become part of the new Housing Plus Group. This merger represents an incredible opportunity to combine our strengths and do more for our customers. When the two organisations merge in the New Year, the new Housing Plus Group will become one of the largest housing associations in the West Midlands with more than 33,000 homes and we are looking forward to the increased social and economic impact we will make in communities right across Shropshire, Staffordshire and Telford & Wrekin in the next five years. The hostile environment at home, shaped by his father's alcoholism, left him anxious and fearful. Despite the abuse, over time, Darren learned to break the cycle, seek professional help, and create a positive and loving environment for his family.

As men & allies, we can challenge harmful attitudes and behaviours that perpetuate violence and inequality in our society. During White Ribbon Day and the following 16 Days of Action campaign, we'll be sharing some powerful stories from male colleagues

We joined Helen Morgan MP, pupils from a local primary school and partners to help bury a time capsule at our new £19.1m housing and health hub. The time capsule included a mobile phone, recipes provided by Belton Cheese and other items showcasing life in Shropshire in 2024. The Pauls Moss Housing and Health hub is collaboration between Wrekin, Shropshire Council, NHS Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin and local GPs. Construction is being delivered by Vistry Group and is set to be completed later this year.

Some of our #TeamWrekin colleagues were able to attend Shaun Davies Coffee Morning earlier today. The team were on hand to offer housing, lettings and energy advice to local residents. Great to be part of this event and to be working alongside alongside partners such as Telford & Wrekin Council and Age UK Shropshire Telford & Wrekin to offer support where its needed. #ukhousing #telford #customerengagement #communityengagement Chloe Ramsay Kylie Anderson Wayne Gethings Sam Morley
