The Allay Therapeutics team, thanks to our partnership with Life Science Cares Bay Area, had the privilege of volunteering at Second Harvest of Silicon Valley to help provide meals for those in need. Second Harvest now serves over 450,000 Santa Clara County and San Mateo County residents each month, an 80% increase over pre-pandemic numbers. As we approach Thanksgiving and the holiday season, it’s a poignant reminder of how important it is to give back to our community. Helping others is at the heart of our values, and we’re incredibly proud to support an organization that works tirelessly to combat food insecurity in our community. Our CEO, Adam Gridley, joined our partner Maruishi Pharmaceutical Co.,Ltd. and their investigators in Osaka for a meeting focused on advancing Allay’s groundbreaking work in post-surgical pain management into clinical trials in Japan.      It was a valuable opportunity to share insights, discuss study outcomes, and collaborate with top minds in orthopedic surgery and pain management. We were pleased to bring our newly expanded Scientific Advisory Board (SAB) together for our annual in-person meeting in Dallas, TX.  Our advisors, R&D, Regulatory and Manufacturing teams shared our progress on ATX101, our scaling plans for our upcoming Phase 3 studies in the US and Japan, as well as updates on our pipeline of ultra-sustained products to treat post-surgical pain.     SAB members include Art Tipton, Dr. Christine Allen, Ronald M. Burch, MD, PhD, Joachim Kohn and Louis Lazo Radulovic.  

Allay Therapeutics was pleased to join this year’s American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS) Annual Meeting in Dallas, TX!  Allay’s CMO David Hewitt and Investigators attended AAHKS to share a poster presentation from our recently completed Phase 2B Part A study entitled “ATX101 provides sustained pain relief in TKA patients: results of a multicenter double-blind RCT." This study demonstrated compelling results on patient’s pain, opioid usage and function after TKA surgeries. These data supported the opening of our IND in the US and our dose selection for our upcoming Phase 2B Part B study.    Our team enjoyed connecting with leading experts in hip and knee surgery as we continue to transform post-surgical pain management and recuperation. Today we announced another important milestone in the development of our lead investigational product candidate ATX101. The U.S. Food & Drug Administration has accepted our investigational new drug application, clearing the way for us to initiate a pivotal Phase 2B clinical trial of ATX101 for the treatment of post-surgical pain following total knee replacement surgery. This clinical trial builds on a strong foundation of clinical data from prior exploratory dose-ranging studies that demonstrated ATX101’s potential to transform the pain management paradigm. We are excited for the opportunity to further evaluate ATX101 and plan to enroll 200 trial participants at U.S. sites.     We are committed to pioneering ultra-sustained, non-opioid-based analgesic products that aid patient recovery while reducing the costs of these surgeries for patients, physicians and payors alike.
