The Alliance for Pulmonary Hypertension is a proud member of the Global Allergy & Airways Patient Platform and we are delighted to join in their World Lung 2024 campaign on COPD, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Pulmonary hypertension is a common complication of COPD. COPD is a debilitating disease that is burdening hundreds of millions of people and healthcare systems around the world. Yet, solutions exist. So, why aren’t we doing more to implement them? A seismic shift is needed in how we manage COPD care. Moving from a reactive model of care to a proactive approach will not only help save lives but lift the pressure on primary care and in turn, the financial burden of COPD. The Alliance for Pulmonary Hypertension held its (online) Annual General Assembly yesterday morning, a pivotal event where members gathered to vote on the annual financial report 2023 and elect our new Board Member, Louise Boumann. Welcome Louise!
