Terranean Spices, Spreads & Pita Chip Snacks Your Lebanon

As a Lebanese American, I’ve spent over a decade (really, over two!) promoting our culture positively and supporting the Middle Eastern community both locally and internationally through my work. I’m incredibly grateful for this recognition by the Cleveland Magazine team and humbled to be selected among such an amazing group for Cleveland Magazine's Most Interesting People 2025. This motivates me to continue doing what I love and to keep supporting causes close to my heart, including my current work as a 2025 nominee for Woman of Impact with the American Heart Association (campaign launches early 2025, had to give it a little shoutout ☺️🫶🏼). I also loved the mention of our kids! Launching and running a business as an entrepreneur is challenging—add solopreneurship and three young children to the mix…daily “dance parties” are a must over here 😅 Feature: https://lnkd.in/gYV-ctrE YourLebanon: https://lnkd.in/gUH6dcRS Terranean Herbs & Spices https://lnkd.in/gzyD385q

  • What better source of inspiration than the Olympic Games? In our January 2022 issue, we spoke to Kate Nageotte (now Moon), who after a year of setbacks vaulted her way to gold in the Tokyo Games. Here are a few takeaways that might propel you through your own professional challenges or help you find personal growth. 🏅 Find a support system — Some 6,000 miles away from Tokyo, Moon's mother was part of a group of 100-some family and friends who had gathered at Fat Little Buddies bar in Katie’s hometown of Olmsted Falls. Despite it being 6 a.m., the bar was filled with family and friends clad in red, white and blue, gathered to cheer. 🏅 Focus on the War, Not the Battle — After Moon missed her first two jumps, she was able to recover with two successful jumps. “I never thought about quitting,” she says.  🏅 Bigger Isn't Always Better — Moon spent two years at the University of Dayton before transferring to Ashland University. While she had the talent to attend — and star — at most Division 1 programs, she knew she needed a smaller program. “I learned you just need to go to a place where you get a good vibe and feel like you’re going to thrive,” she says. 🏅 Don't forget Where You Came From — On her way back to the bench after the jump that secured her win, Katie shouted “Cleveland, this is for you” into one of NBC’s cameras, an ode to LeBron James’ speech after winning the 2016 NBA championship. • A new world of pinball is coming to Parma Heights. 🪐 After the family-owned Southland Lanes bowling alley in Middleburg Heights closed this summer, the space's robust collection of pinball games has beamed into a new arcade called Pinball Planet. “This is something my wife and I had talked about doing,” says owner Chris Weber. “Eventually we’d be branching out from Southland. We had talked about it over the past few years. Now this gave us the kick that we needed.” Taking over the former Rogue’s Den board game shop at 6277 Pearl Road, Pinball Planet’s new home is less than two miles away from its original spot. Inside the deep room, Chris has lined the walls with his and business partner Mark Houghton’s pinball machines, with 40 games to play. Read more: https://lnkd.in/ejeB5FZp
