What an honor to partner with Scout Clean Energy continuing our families 100+ years in agricultural and Legacy Ranching through Lonestar Lambscaping, LLC. A special thank you our mentor JR Howard and the American Solar Grazing Association for leading and pioneering the merging agriculture and renewable energy.

Late last month, our “lambscapers” (which are actually sheep) officially arrived at Markum Solar Farm in Central Texas to graze the farm, sustainably managing the site’s vegetation! To make a great story even better, the sheep grazing operation is being managed by Markum Solar Farm’s landowners, the Linn family, who are continuing their ranching legacy on this land by joining the world of agrivoltaics. Yesterday, we hosted our fourth annual Scout Chili Cookoff, and our Scouts brought the heat! Thanks to everyone who participated and shared their own unique recipe. The top three recipes voted on by our three judges received trophies, and even better, bragging rights. Congratulations to this year's first-place winners: Angela Ortiz and Brynn Moncur! We had a fantastic time this week in Denver at COSSA’s Solar Power & Energy Storage Conference, Mountain West conference this week, where we sponsored the Women in Leadership program that featured Anna Perkins Buongiorno speaking on the panel, "Empowered Voices: Women Leading the Renewable Revolution." Surrounded by our family and friends, Scout's annual holiday party in Boulder last night was the perfect way to celebrate another outstanding year. Thank you to everyone who was part of a great 2024 at Scout, and we look forward to another year of growth, success, and building a cleaner future with all of you. Yesterday, we proudly celebrated the achievement of commercial operation for our first-ever solar project -- the 209 MWdc Markum Solar Farm in Bosque and McLennan Counties, Texas -- with a ribbon-cutting ceremony alongside our wonderful partners. We even invited a few of the many hundred sheep that will be grazing our project to sustainably manage the vegetation. Thank you to everyone who helped make this a reality.
