There's a massive misconception that Talent Beyond Boundaries is a refugee job-matching agency. Job matching is only a tiny fraction of what we do. We're really out to change the system that prevents refugees and forcibly displaced people from accessing labour migration pathways. Watch our CEO, Steph Cousins, explain how.

🌟 Two remarkable candidates have arrived in the UK to begin their new roles as SAP consultants at Accenture! As Syrian refugees, they faced significant challenges finding work in Egypt despite their skills and experience. Today, they’re turning a new page—ready to contribute their talents to the tech industry and build a brighter future. A big shoutout to Aaron, the recruitment manager at Accenture, who was on hand to give them a warm welcome. 👏

In case you were wondering about the value of a #SkilledRefugee program in identifying and supporting talent, please read Mustafa's story. We are so lucky to have such a talented developer join our business, and we highly recommend Talent Beyond Boundaries to support you in this journey. In his own words: "My journey to Nova has been long, but incredibly rewarding. I left Syria due to the war and spent short periods in Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, and Turkey before finally finding a new home in Australia. After interviewing with Tim Armstrong and Toby at Nova in May 2022- many thanks to both; I began navigating the complex visa process, which took nearly two years. I’m deeply grateful for the unwavering support from Nova and the Fragomen legal team, whose efforts were instrumental in helping me secure my visa and make this transition possible. Everyone at Nova has gone above and beyond, offering amazing support and making me feel like part of a family. I’m deeply grateful to Nova, SSI, and Talent Beyond Boundaries for helping me settle in Australia and begin this exciting journey as a full stack engineer. A special thanks to Australia for giving me this incredible opportunity and welcoming me with open arms. To any businesses considering hiring talented individuals from diverse or refugee backgrounds, I highly encourage it. There’s an incredible amount of untapped potential, and with the right opportunities, you’re not only empowering individuals but also enriching Australia’s workforce with fresh perspectives and unique skills. This diversity drives innovation, fosters growth, and strengthens the fabric of our communities and economy." We couldn't say it better and are incredibly proud to have Mustafa join our team and support our #SoundFuture goals. #UnwaveringUnity #RadicalEmpathy #RelentlessCuriosity Amanda Bollans (Cervonaro)

🌍 🌱 TBB Launches Coalition for Green Skills Pathways to Integrate Refugees into the Green Economy As demand for skilled workers in the green economy grows, Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) has launched the Coalition for Green Skills Pathways, connecting refugees and other vulnerable populations to green sector jobs. With an estimated 20 million new green jobs expected by 2030, TBB is committed to making these opportunities accessible to displaced communities. In partnership with The Rockefeller Foundation, TBB brought together 21 global leaders in October to launch the initiative, focusing on upskilling refugees for the green transition while addressing labor gaps in green sectors. Key objectives: ▶ Training refugees and host-country nationals in essential green skills ▶ Providing safer migration pathways to dignified work ▶ Promoting sustainable labor mobility as an alternative to unsafe migration routes Once implemented, over a three-year period, TBB and the coalition partners aim to relocate 10,000 skilled workers and their families—20,000 people—laying the foundation for expanded opportunities and advancing sustainability goals. Together with our partners, we are building an inclusive workforce for the green economy. Meet the coalition members 👇 https://lnkd.in/eKR4_Kt3

Alumni Meetups in Sydney & Melbourne In partnership with Talent Beyond Boundaries, we held alumni catch ups in Sydney and Melbourne in November. With the newly commencing CEO of Talent Beyond Boundaries, Sorcha O'Callaghan, visiting Australia from the United Kingdom, it was a great chance for her to get to meet alumni. Friends travelled for several hours from out of Sydney and Melbourne to be there. Alumni meet ups are an important part of what Pathway Club does, and play a role in helping new arrivals connect in their new surroundings while providing an opportunity for existing Pathway Club members to give back. During these events, participants share valuable advice and foster important social connections, which are vital for those settling into a new environment.
