H2Oll launched its first commercial system in Wadi Attir, the Negev, Israel. The system will provide 1000 l/d of potable water, directly extracted from a replenishable water reservoir that has mostly never been used at such capacity by an engineered system - the atmosphere. It goes without saying that the system is fully sustainable, and is another step towards a world with decentralized utility services (which are characterized by lower emissions of different air pollutants to the atmosphere and other environmental drawbacks) that enable off-grid, environmental-friendly supply of basic human needs while complying with the highest public health regulations.
Water From the Air: First H2OLL System Launched in the Negev H2OLL has launched its first complete system at Wadi Attir, a Bedouin community initiative in the Negev, producing 1,000 liters of water daily. Developed from research by Technion professors Eran Friedler and David Broday, this technology extracts water from the air in dry regions using advanced adsorption methods. With over 4 million shekels raised in a crowdfunding campaign, H2OLL aims to address global water scarcity and expand its reach internationally, helping solve the urgent issue of clean water access for all. https://lnkd.in/dbzeJz_Z H2OLL Eran Friedler David Broday

AM NOT AKON, so don't put the blame on me! It's no news that over 90% of Agritech companies in Nigeria have closed their doors in the last 5 years, especially those involved in "crowdfunding," taking billions of hard-earned money from innocent people. This has tarnished the industry's reputation, with Agritechs and Agri-investment schemes often being unfairly labeled as Ponzi schemes. But let's not forget, companies go under in every industry all the time. In 2008, over 26,000 companies went bankrupt, yet that period gave birth to some of today's finest companies like Uber. At Noba Africa, we have withstood the test of time, from COVID-19 to election periods and economic instability, all based on solid business principles. Like Warren Buffett said, "Only when the tide goes out do you discover who's been swimming naked." Noba Africa has continued to fulfill its obligations and is on a path to dominate its industry. Our newest study published in Finance Research Letters reveals how narrating about sustainable development goals (SDGs) in crowdfunding campaigns can boost fundraising success. By analyzing nearly 26,000 campaigns on Indiegogo, we found that for every extra sentence about these goals, campaigns raised 17.3% more money and attracted 8.3% more supporters. Referring to topics like climate action, sustainable energy, and responsible consumption can help attract more funding, while focusing on issues like poverty or industrial innovation might not be as effective. The study is published open access: https://lnkd.in/ez2bgRk8

What will a mini-grant do for your social enterprise if you had access to funding? Through MUAZU AFRICA, we have linked social enterprises to capital (equity free funding) and in a very rare case, pledge commitment from donors yet to be redeemed (story for another post). This week alone, we have documented 150 social enterprises in Nigeria at their early stages in need of capital to move from proof-of-concept to market, and for some, it’s a case of survival. Whichever category, we are ensuring to make access to the continuum of capital as easy and effective as it must be bearing in mind the need for due diligence. In need of this mini-grant, send a DM to MUAZU AFRICA, and we’d be sure to assist. Don’t forget to leverage our marketplace on muazuafrica.org!!!! Best wishes to the selected social enterprises. #SocEnt #Ecosystem #Funding #Growth #Capital #Access #Livelihood #Businesses #Impact #socialentrepreneurship
