The training aims to enhance providers' knowledge and clinical skills in CAC to ensure the availability of safe abortion services while adhering to quality standards. The group of trained providers includes gynecologists, general practitioners, general medicine technicians, and maternal and child health nurses. This initiative highlights Ipas Mozambique's commitment to reducing deaths and complications associated with unsafe abortions, promoting equity in access to healthcare services, and supporting government efforts to improve public health indicators. Training health providers is essential to strengthening the healthcare system and ensuring that women and girls have access to safe and high-quality sexual and reproductive healthcare. #Unsafe abortions, often accompanied by other complications like #preeclampsia, #eclampsia, #postpartum hemorrhage, and #sepsis, are a leading cause of maternal mortality in Tanzania. To combat this issue and safeguard maternal health, it's crucial to: 1. Prioritize Family Planning: Encourage and facilitate access to family planning education and resources to prevent unplanned pregnancies and reduce the need for unsafe abortions. 2. Discourage Unregulated Abortion Methods: Discourage the use of unregulated abortion pills like P2, which can pose serious health risks. 3. Seek Medical Guidance: Encourage women considering abortion to consult with qualified healthcare professionals to explore safe and medically sound options that won't compromise their reproductive health. By implementing these measures, we can work towards a future where women in Tanzania have access to the reproductive healthcare they deserve and can make informed decisions about their bodies and their future. Because of the illegality of abortion in Nigeria, it is very restricted and done only when it is necessary to save the life of the pregnant woman. There is disinformation that you cannot access post abortion care, this disinformation has led to so much stigma, 3 in 4 abortions that occurs in Nigeria are unsafe, 41% of these cases deal with complications and they need prompt care. The entire essence of our organization at Komfot Health is making post abortion care accessible to people who need it. Our job is to provide post abortion healthcare, one that’s free from stigma, shame. Care that is also timely and easily accessible. Let’s show you how we’ve been doing this for the past six months. Check the slides below.⬇️

Yes - we must stand for women’s right to choose. Its a difficult topic to comment about because its a deeply difficult emotional process that goes into these choices which I do not understand. Hon. Mark Holland, PC, MP : i ask you: I still have some comments. Are they not also underlining cultural issues which we must confront such as rape culture that we have normalize. I feel the root problem is our understanding of mental health and how we address it. Or limited understanding of it. So, here the answer is not only sex education but sex education along with teaching individuals about what are our emotions, their evolutionary functions but how we ulimately must react without attachment to our emotions. The importance of controling individuals urges - these fundamental ask us to re-evaluate how our society functions. How power structure - a power structure which you control Hon. Mark Holland, PC, MP - and directly benifit. All of you - Liberal Party of Canada • Parti Libéral du Canada Precisely - while we normalize rape culture, we stigmatize mental health. Again - when we stigmatize mental health - these all holistically parts of the equation when addressing abortion. Yet the real question and problem in abortion lies in a power struggle and control mechanism. Trace back the politicalization of abortion and why it appeared in the United State’s. Ultimately - if the question lies in a power struggle then the response would be to change the narrative. You do not want to address mental health - you control the narrative. So - I ask you: Justin Trudeau : do you really support women’s right, if so how do we address the structural causes of these challenges?

News Alert: Indonesia’s new health law extends the legal window for abortions in rape cases and medical emergencies from 6 to 14 weeks. Signed into law by President Joko Widodo this week, it addresses demands from women’s rights activists and healthcare practitioners who argued that the previous rule was too restrictive, leading to some women and girls being jailed for terminations beyond 6 weeks. The new regulation is part of broader efforts to improve reproductive health, including private funding for public hospitals, increasing the number of doctors and reducing tuition fees for medical students.
