As the Head of the Energy and Climate Action Department in Western Macedonia, Sofia-Natalia Boemi has extensive experience working in just transition regions. Her field experience provides valuable insights into implementing fair transition strategies on the ground. 💡 #JUSTEM picked her brain on the importance of education in empowering communities as they transition away from fossil fuels and as a strategy to tackle energy poverty 📚 . "Education must serve as a tool for social mobility, enabling individuals to break out of cycles of poverty." 🔎 Sofia-Natalia was also one of the people involved in setting up Greece’s first one-stop-shop for energy poverty. One-stop shops serve as community-centered hubs, they can help get everyone on board with the just transition and ensure no one is left behind.
