✨Today, the Danish Government presented the third national life science strategy “Strategy for life science towards 2030” with a strong international focus✨ Based on the recommendations from the Life Science Council, the new life science strategy will contribute to increasing the export of innovative health solutions to DKK 350 billion/EUR 50 billion by 2030 and strengthen collaboration between innovative research environments and life science companies 💡 Healthcare Denmark is looking forward to contributing to the Government’s ambition to strengthen the branding efforts of Danish life science 🚀 This include realizing the ambitions to establish a new visitor center in Innovation District Copenhagen, as well as cooperation on an international, annual life science congress in Denmark, and much more. In close collaboration with our public and private partners, we look forward to rolling up our sleeves and taking on this task to contribute to solving global healthcare challenges through Danish research and innovation. 2024 will indeed be an exciting life science year! With a new Danish life science strategy just around the corner and a renewed Swedish life science strategy materializing before the end of the year, Denmark and Sweden as the major life science nations, we are in the EU, will be fueling further growth and attractive frame work conditions for continuous research, development, public-private collaboration and internationalization of the life science sector. As the cross-border Swedish-Danish life science cluster Medicon Valley Alliance is, we are hoping both strategies also will embrace the opportunities that lies in collaborating cross-border between our two countries that have so much in common within the challenges and opportunities in our ambitions about the life science industry and healthcare system. Joint clinical trials, utilizing the synergies in development of the new medicines like the ATPMs, exploring the potential of our amazing health care data, becoming a front runner with Women's Health - all examples of where we would be much stronger and attractive together than on our own. A big thank you for Jeanette Edblad for taking time to discuss the potential and how Medicon Valley Alliance as a Swedish-Danish life science cluster organization can support the future renewed Swedish life science strategy and help strengthen the Swedish (and Danish) ambitions of becoming leading life science nations. Unfortunately, I wont be in 𝐃ü𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐟 this year after a hectic October travelling but good luck to everyone exhibiting. 🇳🇴🌟 LSX Nordic Congress is coming to Bergen in 2025!🌟 This is a milestone for Norway’s Health and Investment Ecosystem and a huge win for our region! I'm incredibly proud that UNCOMMON had the good fortune to collaborate with LSX and (many) other local ecosystem champions to attract such a high-caliber, international health investment event to our shores. This is soooo cool!! 😎 🤝 Far from just securing 'another event', this is the culmination of extensive bridge building and efforts by key local actors – all with the aligned goal of amplifying Bergen and Norway's role on the global stage, and positioning our region as a thriving hub for life sciences and healthcare innovation.
