↔️ As the year is reaching its end, we would like to take this moment to reflect on the incredible achievements it brought for the R2COM project: ✔Two successful training events, gathering NGOs and post-release professionals from Albania, Bulgaria, France, Italy, Hungary, Kosovo, Portugal and Sweden ✔A fully tested and validated vulnerability assessment tool for radicalisation and extremist engagement to be used during the prison-community transition ✔Two successfully piloted online courses, with over 150 certified professionals, on how to prevent radicalisation in post-release settings and when working with vulnerable groups ✔A complete and comprehensive case management manual to support vulnerable persons and those within extremist milieus towards integration and stabilisation ✔Nomination for best Research and Evaluation project of the year in the ESN European Social Services Awards 🤍As we wrap up this year, it is undeniable that all these achievements are the direct result of the R2COM partners, but also, and mostly, of the incredible network of practitioners established! 🤝We stand together in the commitment to build safer and more empowered communities, where vulnerabilities are addressed in a non-securitised manner and through a positive lens, looking for solutions to promote integration, growth and development, individually, locally and collectively. 🫶Thank you for being part of the R2COM project in 2024! We look forward to what 2025 will bring!

🏢 We're wrapping up the year with an ambitious nationwide study on the administrative service system in Administrative Service Centers (ASC) in Ukraine, examining how Ukrainians choose to access administrative services— online or offline. Our research focuses on both employees and users of ASCs, using a comprehensive three-module approach: ▪️ Survey of ASC users; ▪️ In-depth interviews with ASC users and employees; ▪️ Focus group discussions with employees. 💡 This project aims not only to collect valuable statistical data but also to uncover the key drivers of digital transformation in Ukraine's public services. With multiple research modules and tight deadlines, this is one of the most intensive projects of the year. Thanks to structured processes and excellent teamwork, we’re confident it will be successfully completed by the end of 2024. Fama Research Agency is proud to conduct this study in cooperation with the EGAP Program, implemented by the @Eastern Europe Foundation, funded by Switzerland, and initiated by the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

We have good news to share - The Coordinating Council on Access and Mobility Technical Assistance Center (CCAM TAC) is going to launch this December! William Wagner says “Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) was thrilled to see that we have been chosen to administer the CCAM center. 📢 Calling all RSEs around the world! 🌏 🌍 🌎 Two RSE Worldwide sessions will be hosted at #RSECon24, bringing together members of the global Research Software Engineering community. The sessions provide a platform for members of the diverse global community to meet, network, and share experiences and perspectives. Emerging communities can benefit from the experiences of more established networks, while longer-standing communities can better understand the international impact of RSEng. The growing number of events dedicated to RSEng taking place around the world is an encouraging sign of the strength and ongoing success of the RSE movement, but carries the threat of a “siloing” effect as local and regional groups focus ever more inward. This session presents an opportunity to discuss how we – as members of the international RSE community – can foster strong, vibrant local communities while reaping the benefits of international coordination and cooperation. Session info: 1. 4th September, 14:50 - 16:05 UTC (recommended for RSEs in North & South America) 2. 5th September, 08:30 - 09:15 UTC (recommended for RSEs in Africa, Asia, Europe, and Oceania) Learn more, find links to convert session times to your local time zone, and register to join RSE Worldwide at https://lnkd.in/g8kJjYjQ Participation in RSE Worldwide is free, without registration for the full conference, and everyone is welcome! Nevertheless, we do recommend that you explore the amazing conference programme and register for remote participation in the whole event! https://lnkd.in/gpP-eqG7

Great learning more about international port cities.
AIVP was in 📍 Boston (USA) from 🗓 28 to 31 October, where our organisation’s Head of International Development Anas Laani met with various stakeholders from US port cities. Anas Laani held talks with Jeanne Dasaro, Business Strategy Manager for the City of Boston Mayor’s Office of Economic Opportunity & Inclusion, to present AIVP’s work and discuss the situation at the port city of Boston. He also attended the AAPA Annual Convention & Exposition, held by the American Association of Port Authorities, one of AIVP’s partner organisations, since 2006. 👉 Read more: https://swll.to/MnEk7
