Values like transparency, trust, and unity are the essence of every successful team and fan community. At Kickoff, we believe in upholding these values to the fullest extent. Transparency lays the foundation for trust – it's about honesty, openness, and clarity in every interaction. Whether it's sharing club news, communicating with fans, or making decisions, transparency builds trust and strengthens the bond between clubs and supporters. Trust is a must in any sports community – it's about believing in each other, relying on one another, and having faith in the club's leadership. Trust fosters a sense of security and belonging, creating a unified front where everyone works towards a common goal. Unity is what brings us together – it's about solidarity, camaraderie, and shared passion for the game. When fans, players, and clubs stand united, there's no limit to what can be achieved. Unity transcends boundaries, bridging gaps and creating a sense of belonging that transcends wins and losses. Join us to promote these values to their fullest. The app will be launching soon, and we can't wait for you to join us.

#NZ Live: Stuff’s 6pm news bulletin to be ‘new, innovative product’, owner says 👁️Stuff.co.nz Live: New name, new feel for Stuff's 6pm bulletin on Three https://lnkd.in/ghgjT24S New name, new feel for new 6pm bulletin Expect a new name and a new feel when Stuff takes over the 6pm news on Three, Stuff owner and publisher Sinead Boucher says. Stuff has announced today that it will provide a news service for Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) from July. “I’m really excited about what we’ll be able to create together and what we’re going to be able to deliver to New Zealanders,” Boucher said in an interview after the announcement. “We have a proven track record of modernising, changing and being at the edge of what you can do with our own organisation, and we’re hungry to bring some of that innovation and freshness to Warner Bros.” 👉In Media News Today: https://lnkd.in/gYQXdAAe 🦉Short on details so far and already receiving a mixed response: relief from some and some skepticism from Mark Jennings, former TV3 head, that the claim of ‘innovation’ remains to be seen and won’t come cheap. He disputes the Stuff owner’s claim that Stuff is not getting into ongoing television saying that that is precisely what one hour of news on weekdays and 30 minutes on Saturdays and Sundays is. He wonders how long this arrangement will last. Staffing levels will be heavily cut. Good luck to them. NZ must have alternative journalistic voices on television. Vital for a healthy thriving democracy. #newzealand #democracy #nznewsmedia #6pmnews #newsdeal #journalism

A grounding return to Hackney Marshes yesterday to film some content with Jeremy Abbott for August - May, speaking to the players and officials amongst the 30 matches which were being played simultaneously. As part of an ongoing case study around the men's amateur game, I wanted to share some reflections from a visit to a place that has given me so much over the past decade: ⚽ Teams: There are really three types of clubs/teams that make up the eco-system of Sunday League - the elitist teams made up of semi-professional players, clubs with more than one team centred around community and then the group of mates who are just out there for their weekly dose of fun, exercise and post match pint. ⚖ Values: The amateur game offers a blank canvas for teams to make of it what they wish. Whilst some (including myself) pride themselves on a nice kit and perfectly set up nets, others are equally enjoying the experience running around in odd kit and a threadbare eleven players. 🏡 Facilities: We need more purposed built grass football hubs like Hackney Marshes up and down the country. The stats around suicide, mental health, addiction are well documented and have been for some time. We need to build more accessible and attractive venues that build connection, community and grow participation for everyone. I understand these types of facilities don't drive revenue like the 4G hubs do, but we need to have a conversation about the bigger picture, using Hackney Marshes as a template to develop our playing fields; creating a better future for the amateur game and society nationwide. This is an area I would love to explore further. If anyone has any guidance or expertise on funding or campaigning for such ideas, please drop me a message. (Pictured: Benito Apollonio of The Gun FC)

Big news for Players Health and RealResponse 🤝 We’re super excited to share that we’ve partnered with RealResponse, the team behind a brilliant platform that lets athletes report issues anonymously. This partnership is a game-changer for youth sports safety, blending RealResponse's smart communication technology with our safety and insurance platform. The full picture: Our new system we're rolling out will let kids, coaches, and parents send in their concerns, ask questions, and get the resources they need, all without sharing who they are. And with more than five million athletes and countless organizations counting on our team, having a way for everyone to speak up safely is critically important. What this really means is peace of mind for everyone involved in youth sports. We’re not just about playing it safe... We’re building an open, supportive community where everyone’s voice matters. So, what’s next? A safer, more caring sports environment where every young athlete can play their sport and share their concerns without worry. We’re here to make sure of that. #Sports #YouthSafety #PlayersHealth

Reporters: Here’s a story deserving of coverage whether your beat is sports, business, science, or health—and a media briefing to get you up to speed on it this Wednesday: Sports betting, which was largely illegal nationwide until a 2018 Supreme Court decision, is now allowed in most states, and billions of dollars are anticipated to be bet on next week’s Super Bowl alone. For some it’s entertainment, but for the many individuals who find it difficult to stop, the pervasive marketing and availability of sports gambling can be a ticket to financial and personal ruin. SciLine’s next media briefing will cover the current landscape of U.S. sports betting; the science of gambling addiction, including who is most at risk and impacts on physical and mental health; and evidence-based solutions to prevent problem gambling. Three researchers will make brief presentations and then take reporter questions on the record. Wednesday, Feb. 7, 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm ET Register here: https://lnkd.in/eqmEXy_e #journalism #scicomm #sportsjournalist #sportsmedia #sportsreporter
