PEOPLE are the greatest asset when crises and critical events occur, and they must be protected and deployed (effectively and efficiently!) when needed most. Below is a snippet of my recent panel presentation at DRJ Fall conference, which elaborates on this topic. It was great meeting (and learning from) so many leaders, colleagues, customers and friends at this event--including David Wagner, David Alexander, Ken Benveniste, Courtney Stafford (Eiceman), Andrew Witts, John Allen, Sam Anderson, Mark McGovern, Edward Colson, Scott Caulk, Steven Randall, Joe E. Long, CBCP, ARM, Len Guddemi, Archana Joshi, MPH, CBCP, Joe Layman and DeBorah Lozada #Everbridge #Infinite Blue #businesscontinuity #resilience #criticaleventmanagement

Trust isn’t a slogan or a research report. It’s about internal character and tangible action. ➡️ Who you are. ➡️ How you show up personally. ➡️ How you lead others. Grateful to work for Peter Finn at FINN Partners, who models leading with a ‘heart & conscience’ every day, in his work & life. #leadership #leadbyexample #trust #ethicsinbusiness Stephen R. Stop thinking we can tackle global challenges alone. It’s slowing progress down. Today at #CDM13, I moderated powerful discussions on the transformative power of partnerships in disaster management. One thing was clear: ➔ Collaboration is key to resilience. Here’s what partnerships can do: ➔ Turn challenges into opportunities: By combining strengths, we can create innovative solutions to shared problems. ➔ Build lasting impact: Working together ensures solutions are sustainable and far-reaching. ➔ Foster inclusive growth: Partnerships bring diverse voices and ideas to the table, making progress equitable for all. But here’s the thing: Partnerships don’t just happen. They require: • Mutual trust • A shared vision • A willingness to act together During the panels, we heard incredible stories of regional cooperation in the Caribbean—stories where collaboration saved lives and changed futures. It was a reminder that resilience isn’t a solo effort. The challenge is this: How can we create and strengthen partnerships in our own work and communities? Building a better, stronger future starts with a commitment to work together. What role can you play in building partnerships for resilience?

Bristol Bay Native Corporation is an Indigenous-owned corporation that operates a diverse portfolio of companies. Their success as a strategic investor has, and always will, demonstrate the strength of a purpose-driven corporation to both enrich their Native way of life and secure the futures of their Alaska Native shareholders who have ancestral ties to the Bristol Bay region in southwest Alaska. While the company’s expansion has brought great opportunities, it has also posed unique challenges. With more than 100 subsidiaries reporting to board members living in remote areas, communication was a challenge. Determined to bring more simplicity to the organization’s management process, Renée Wardlaw , Esq., M.B.A., CCEP, Vice President of Corporate Compliance and Administration, looked to us for a solution. With Diligent Boards, BBNC leaders can fulfill their fiduciary duties anytime, anywhere.
