For anyone in AgTech! Great write up from our Head of Deep Tech Hebbat on AgriFutures evokeAG!
Group Executive, Technology and Commercialisation. I help ventures grow and develop value through strategic, technological, leadership, and cultural intelligence
Well, that's a wrap! Sally-Ann Williams FTSE and I had an incredible time at AgriFutures evokeAG A big shout out to the #Agrifutures team for yet another successful gathering. #EvokeAG is where you meet the right people and have the right conversations. Congratulations on being a critical connector in the Australian #agriculture industry. I would also like to make an honourable mention to Sally for taking the stage at Provoke Ag. It was great to network with the agriculture industry and gain valuable knowledge. Some of my key takeaways from this year's event were: - #Diversity in #STEM: The XFactor Women's Breakfast, where Sally spoke about the need for more diversity in STEM. This sparked a great discussion on how much work women have contributed behind the scenes in agriculture and how it is now time for them to lead from the front. As a #woman in #engineering, I wholeheartedly agree that their voices and leadership are crucial. We also saw incredible visions from Catherine McGowan and the Hon. Jackie Jarvis MLC. I also loved the Welcome to Country, where we were invited to celebrate being together. -#AgTech & #Industry4.0: The agriculture industry is undergoing a massive transformation towards Industry 4.0. By learning from other sectors, such as the medical and manufacturing industries, we can accelerate the transition and solidify Australia's global leadership. Seeing the innovative technologies showcased on #startup and #scaleup alleys was truly inspiring. Thank you to Cathy McGowan, Clancy Pattinson, Angela Wakeman, @Lauren Slattery, Rebecca Bradford, Dallas Pearce, Harriet Mellish, David Lord, Arianna Sippel, Belinda Allitt GAICD. A big shoutout to azaneo (Cicada Innovations resident and Grains Research and Development Corporation Grain Challenge cohort), Uluu (Cicada x Tech 23 alumni) and Converte Pty Limited (Cicada Fast Start alumni and GRDC grain challenge cohort) for their excellent pitches at Evoke. Stay tuned for our Cicada Innovation Breakfast, where I will be hosting a panellist discussion alongside industry experts to give you practical strategies on how to enter the Agtech ecosystem, no matter your background technology.
