We're challenging the media world to join us in using the power of storytelling to change the way people think.
About us
Paramount's Content for Change is a global companywide, cross-brand initiative that seeks to use the power of the company's content creation ecosystem to break down the narratives that enable intolerance, hurtful stereotypes, and systemic racism to exist and grow. Created by BET in 2020 and now scaled across the organization, Content for Change is centered on using scientific research, rigor and data to transform Paramount's creative ecosystem across three pillars—the content it produces, the creative supply chain that powers it and the culture that underpins everything the company does.

We had an incredible time at Paramount's #ContentForChange "Sunset by the Sea" event at Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity! Industry leaders and #changemakers came together to discuss the importance of embracing diverse lived experiences, authentic stories, and cultures that make us all feel seen and valued. Guests engaged in thought-provoking conversations on creating pathways for equitable and inclusive #creativity in TV, print, and digital content, ensuring #media reflects the world we live in today. We also explored how the sustainability of an inclusive creator ecosystem is vital for thriving representation and equitable opportunities. The event highlighted how Black American culture has historically influenced global pop culture and the importance of this influence in building inclusive content and creative campaigns. A big thank you to everyone who joined us and made this inspiring event a success! It was a wonderful evening filled with meaningful dialogue and #connections.

Creators House Las Vegas was one for the books! We brought meaningful conversations around civic engagement, mental health and wellness, Latinx fandom and LGBTQIA+ representation in sports – during one of the biggest sports moments – Super Bowl LVIII. These conversations are necessary in order to continue collaborating and creating inclusive and diverse #ContentForChange. Special thanks to all our partners for making this night epic! Including our Creators House presenting partner United Way and additional partners/sponsors - National Football League (NFL), Mielle, The Female Quotient, NextGen Education Fund, Microsoft – And a huge thank you to all of our panelists and guests!

Paramount’s #ContentForChange & The Female Quotient at SXSW hosted a compelling panel diving into the powerful influence of storytelling on reshaping societal norms. The conversation focused on "In Bloom," an anthology series comprised of five short films directed by talented women from Nigeria, Kenya, India, the U.S., and Brazil, addressing critical issues such as child marriage, gender-based violence, and economic empowerment. Thank you Uloaku Anyiam-Osigwe, producing fellow and recipient of the Paramount Pictures’ scholarship at American Film Institute; Akriti Saronwala, country manager for India, and project manager for “In Bloom” at The MTV Staying Alive Foundation; Kitty Harding, senior program officer, office of the president, gender equality division, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; and Melissa C. Potter, VP & executive director, Content For Change, for an eye-opening discussion on the intricate relationship between narrative storytelling, social impact, and gender equality. We must continue to highlight the content driving positive societal shifts. #WomensHistoryMonth #SXSW

On this first day of Women's History Month I can't think of a better project and partnership to shine a light on. The MTV Staying Alive Foundation, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Paramount partnered to produce IN BLOOM - a global anthology of short films created by extremely talented female filmmakers that explores gender narratives on topics like period poverty, child marriage, gender-based violence, HIV self-stigma, family planning and women's economic empowerment. Rooted in our Content For Change mission to amplify the stories and voices of underrepresented audiences around the world, I found these 5 compelling short films to be thought provoking and challenge my own ways of thinking. The content premiered on Paramount+ TODAY and can also be found on Pluto TV, MTV (select countries), BET (3/8), In Bloom YouTube (3/9, select countries). Special thanks to our leaders and partners who helped bring this project to life. Our champion and Gates Foundation partner norma jean straw; our cross-company and international impact leader Bradley Archer-Haynes; our fabulous international impact team Simuyemba Rebecca, Tanya Malcolm-Revell; our amazing Staying Alive Foundation partners Sara Piot, Akriti Saronwala, and Sophia Surace and amazing Executive Director Wame Jallow; and last but certainly not least... where it all started Georgia Arnold. + many more. WELL DONE! SHARE IT! Watch the #InBloom trailer here - https://lnkd.in/giD3zsqH 🌸🌸

Ahead of Super Bowl LVIII, Paramount’s #ContentForChange proudly introduced its 'Murals For Change' initiative, driven by the desire to uplift underrepresented voices and leave an enduring mark on the Las Vegas community. By harnessing the dynamic power of art and expression, we've unveiled four captivating public artworks by Indigenous American artists and activists Fawn Douglas, Danielle SeeWalker, & Gregg Deal. These pieces symbolize a celebration of the Indigenous community and their rich narratives, both within Nevada and beyond. A special thanks to our invaluable partners who helped bring this initiative to life: Tribal Minds, Inc., Invisible Hand, Brian Melendez, Teresa Melendez, and Miles Brady. As part of our ongoing commitment, we are also proud to have provided funding for Tribal Minds’ summer arts program to support the artistic development of young Indigenous voices.
