Art Jameel was delighted to host international leaders during the World Cities Culture Summit (World Cities Culture Forum), founded by Justine Simons OBE, London's Deputy Mayor for Culture & the Creative Industries. The summit took place this year in #dubai (October 30 – November 1), the first time in the Middle East and North Africa, and Jameel Arts Centre, Dubai's hub for contemporary art and ideas, welcomed more than 130 leaders from 40 global cities as part of a rich agenda exploring the depth and breadth of culture in Dubai, including partner-organisations Alserkal, Al Shindagha Museum, Museum of the Future, MOHAMMED BIN RASHID LIBRARY and more. Under the theme of ‘Tomorrow’s culture: how will the next generation shape our world?’, the Summit is organised in collaboration with the Government of Dubai (Government of Dubai Media Office) and the Dubai Culture & Arts Authority, under the patronage of Her Highness HH Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.
