Our team had a very heartwarming morning at Make a Wish 'Trees of Joy'. A magical event where numerous local businesses come together to decorate trees and fill them with presents for local wish kids and their families! This year Halifax raised $150,000. There were 255 trees decorated across Canada and over 2 million raised! Thank you to Make a Wish for bringing love and light to so many this holiday season! ✨

Meet our new Executive Chef, Ted Pace! While Chef Ted has been with us the last couple of months, we’ve had the chance to sit down with him and learn more about where it all started...and where it’s going! Welcome home, Chef Ted Pace! Chef Ted believes in the unifying power of food, bringing family and friends together to share life’s most precious moments. His love for cooking was kindled by his grandmother, with whom he spent countless weekends and holidays. They had a cherished tradition of sharing music while cooking: Chef Ted would play 30 minutes of his favorites, followed by an hour of his grandmother’s beloved CBC gospel hour. Chef takes immense pride in his sustainable cooking practices, utilizing local ingredients and ensuring that every edible part of the food is used. Guided by the philosophy that less is more, he delights in transforming one or two simple ingredients into a symphony of flavors through various techniques. His creations are elevated and beautiful, yet familiar, telling a story throughout every dish. Read Chef Ted’s full story here: https://lnkd.in/euQcAMpf

Every year our associates volunteer their time for Parker Street's Back-to-School program. This year, along with other local businesses, we worked together to fill over 1000 backpacks for students in our community. We're proud to be able to support this incredible initiative and wish all students the very best for the 2024-25 school year! Thank you to Parker Street Food & Furniture Bank for spearheading this program and to their amazing team who work tirelessly to provide support and resources throughout our community.

Take that trip you've been dreaming of!
Nobody will remember: - your salary - how “busy you were” - how many hours you worked People will remember: - The family vacations you took using points you earned through business travel - The spontaneous adventures you went on together that left them with the best stories to tell - The friendships you made while exploring new cities
