  • Holiday Stories from McCormick! This holiday season, we are inspired by Emilie. She holds a special connection to McCormick Care Group, as a beloved family member once lived here. Emilie created and generously donated 160 cards to ensure every resident in our long-term care home felt the warmth and joy of the season. Your generosity and kindness make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents, their families, and our team members. #SeasonOfGiving. #HolidayInspiration #McCormickCareGroup #CareWithHeart #CompassionInAction

  • Legacy of Care: A Spirit of Compassion During the Holidays For 150 years, the Women's Christian Association of London—now the McCormick Care Group—has embodied the spirit of giving and care during the holiday season. From opening a soup kitchen in 1876 to founding the Women’s Refuge and Infants Home that same year, they’ve shown unwavering support for those in need. Today, McCormick Home continues this tradition, bringing joy and warmth to residents through special holiday events and activities. This legacy reminds us that compassion is timeless. #LegacyOfCare #HolidaySpirit #CompassionInAction #McCormickCareGroup

  • Driving Compassion: Partnering with BGC to Support Dementia Care Through our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club (BGC), we are able to provide many of our day program clients with transportation to and from our program throughout the week. Drivers are an extension of our specialized dementia team and, as such, receive a hands-on training day in our day program. Our goal is to offer all BGC bus drivers this educational day, which includes: • An overview of dementia, including common signs and symptoms. • An opportunity to discuss common challenges or experiences they may encounter while transporting our clients. • A tour of our program and the chance to observe how our staff interact with clients in the day program setting. On average, we run one to two training days per month, and the feedback from drivers has been incredible. Many leave their training with a newfound respect and understanding of what our program provides for our clients. They also report an increased level of comfort in managing situations that may arise on their bus and a better understanding of how to provide a dementia-friendly experience for our clients. We are so incredibly grateful for our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club and their compassionate staff, who support our clients with their transportation needs. #DementiaCare #CommunityPartnership #DrivingCompassion #MakingADifference #SupportiveCommunities
